Channeling Erik

First, I’d like to apologize for not posting this weekend. Hopefully some of you browsed the archives for entries you might have missed or wanted to revisit. I did fix the Media Gallery by upgrading to Cincopa Pro to allow more monthly traffic.

This weekend was exhausting. I babysat for my cute little grand daughter, Arley. She’s so fun, so loving, but, being a two year-old, she’s also a bundle of energy. I was also dragged into Algebra II Hell by my 15 year-old daughter, so I had to relearn all that crap about transforming parent functions, combining functions, ugh! Last but not least, my husband tried to blow out a clog in the tube from one of the air conditioner compressors to the drain under my sink and, well, let’s put it this way: gallons of putrid brown water in the under sink cabinet and bathroom floor and a very wet drippy ceiling that looks like it’s about to disintegrate and collapse on top of me the next time I brush my teeth. Time to call in the real plumbers.

So now, I sit here on the couch, collapsed and lifeless, clinging to a cold Heineken. Ahhh.  I sent the rest of the clan to a Polo match with free tickets from a Dodge dealership. Having never been to a Polo match, I’m not sure if they’ll enjoy themselves, but I sure as Hell know I will! Hmm. I hear lots of thunder outside. Not looking to good for those Polo ponies! ;-(

Stay tuned for Lois’s Ask Erik questions tomorrow!

Hi Elisa. I’m sorry your weekend was so eventful! Thank you so much for this blog. I am new to it and absolutely love it. Thank you for your strength and courage.

Love you too, Kris and I’m so glad you’re part of our family now.

Elisa thanks for the update I was starting to get a smidge concerned cause it was the “weekend” again. Of course, in my PTSD state anything will set me off!! Glad all is well and that you are having a chance to relax.

Sweet Elisa – This is the wall I have been wanting to talk with you about. Have just been waiting for you to hit it. If you have doubts, please ask Erik about me and you will know whether to proceed now or later. I feel it is now. I look forward to assisting you. Rest well and much love, Grady.

I’m fine. These little things (probably from Mercury in Retrograde) don’t ruffle my feathers much. Nothing much does, especially since Erik’s death. I think the big wall will be his birthday on the 21st and his death day on October 6th. I’m trying to prepare myself. You know I never say know to help, though! And I’m sure Erik agrees! Love you so much!

How’s that old Chinese curse go? “May you have an interesting life.” Are you sure you weren’t actually filming a commercial for Plumbers of America Association? Well, it’s Monday morning, and I’m glad you’re Still Going Strong! ; )

Yeah, where are my royalties for making that commercial?? Nah, we get a big laugh from things like this because our household becomes the Keystone Cops meet The Titanic. LOL

  • John

Thank God for that cold Heinekin!!

  • Grady

I have marked these important dates for you on my calendar and will certainly be checking in. Anniversaries are difficult and you’ve got two big ones coming up. I think there is a reason its called “fall”. Thank you for all you do. Much love, Grady.

You’re so sweet! I saw your question on the list today and can’t remember right now if it was on the “done and awaiting transcription” or the “Waiting to ask” list. Just want you to know it’s on one of ‘em.

  • KRC

John, I echo that thought. A cold beer works wonders. :)

Oooohhh, Elisa! I have a meditation suggestion for you: Hoegaarten! A delicious Belgian wheat brew that’s centuries old. Melts away stress like magic!!

    Love you!

Oh, wonderful! I live right next to Moveable Feast; I bet they have it there! Should I only drink it at night?

miss elisa, know that you are in my heart all the time and will be especially on my mind on erik’s birthday. i, too, dread birthdays and anniversaries…september brings me a wave of them that lasts through february for me. however, i know already the holidays will be less awful for me this year because of you and the community you’ve created here for all of us. i know your pain is (and will be) strong, but i hope you can feel our love.

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

I do, AD! And I hope you feel Erik’s and mine!

Hi Elisa,I wanted to shoot you a quick PRIVATE e-mail regarding a session I had with Jeannie Barnes. I am not sure if this is the place or not. I had written to you earlier with a couple of questions for Erik regarding my sister and mom. I just wanted to tell you about my session with Jeannie (it went very well) but not sure I wanted it posted. Thanks

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

Well sure, Steve, go right ahead! My email is emedhus@gmail.com.

  • Shannon

Haha! Darling, drink it anytime (well, it’s five o’clock somewhere!), it’s delicious! Taking a nice deep inhale of the fragrance of the beer before you take your first sip will make you tingle all over…
