Me: What about vaccines, Erik? A lot of people are concerned about whether they might be linked to autism, diabetes, autoimmune disease, etc.

Erik: It’s not the vaccine so much. It’s the amount of vaccines, the number and the volume that you put into a little body all at once. These react with each other. You can only put so much into a human body without it reacting badly. So vaccines can be good—certain ones, anyway. You can see that, Mom. Look over the years how many people died before vaccines came about.

Me: Sure, like polio, for example.

Erik: Yeah, that’s right. But too many are given now all at once, especially to children.

Me: Okay, I understand. That makes perfect sense, Erik. Here’s a couple more questions before we close out the session. First, why have we seen such an increase in bipolar disorder and ADHD?

Erik: It’s the environment and the food that people are eating. Just look at other countries, especially the countries where people eat more healthy, natural foods.

Me: Okay.

Erik: In those countries, you don’t have as much bipolar disease, ADHD, or depression, for example. Eating processed food, breathing air that’s polluted and water—water is a huge culprit, Mom—water that’s not been cleaned properly.

Me: I have a feeling that our industrialized diet being so deficient in omega-3 fatty acid plays a role, since it’s such a huge percentage by mass of our nervous system.

Jeannie: This is the angel talking again.

Me: Oh, okay.

Angel: Thank you for that. That’s the truth. That plays a big part.

Me: Well, Erik, I tried from the time you were, oh, I don’t know, maybe 10 years old to get you and the other kids to take omega-3 supplements, but you found all sorts of ways to avoid it.

Erik: Yeah, I didn’t think they could be that important.

(Pause)

Erik (laughing): Plus you’re my mom, so what could you know?

I laugh hard, understanding full well that the IQs of both my husband and me dropped precipitously when our children became teenagers. I can’t count the number of times they’d ask me to take them to a “real doctor” even though I graduated cum laude from Rice University and completed medical school in three rather than four years with High Honors. They all knew my many flaws, so all bets were off as far as my competency was concerned.

Me: Well, Erik, years later, when our washer and dryer broke down and we had to take them out to put new ones in, I must have found a thousand of those omega-3 pills!

Erik: Yeah, we threw ‘em back there. They were nasty, Mom.

I giggle.

Me: I’m such a mean mom. Now, let’s see if we can squeeze in one more question, Baby. Why are people addicts? Why do they become addicted to drugs, alcohol and other things? Is it because they seek out something spiritual or what?

Jeannie: This is Erik talking now.

Erik: I know the answer to that! It’s a seeking of something that’s missing in their lives, usually a result of sadness—kind of wanting to disassociate themselves. It’s painful. Life is painful at times.

Me: So it’s a matter of wanting to escape, basically.

Erik: Yeah. Yeah.

Me: Well, a lot of people have pain in their lives and don’t become addicts. Why do some choose to escape through an addiction? Again, is this because these people are more comfortable in the spirit and feel they want that connection to spirit again?

Erik: It’s a belief system on the cellular level. Hard to understand, but again, things come in from each lifetime—people bring something in. They hold something inside themselves—a remembrance, a connection to spirit.

Me: That’s great Erik. You explain things so well, Sweetie. I wish we had more time to get more details on this, but next session we will. Now, I’d also like to say hello to my guardian angel. Veronica, I want to say that I think about you often, and I’m very grateful for everything you do to push me along my path. I guess sometimes you have to nudge me with an electric cattle prod, but…

Veronica: It brings me joy, such joy to work with you. You know, you have no idea how full of light you are. You spoke of lightworkers earlier. Well, that’s what you are!

Me: Aw!

Veronica: You bring light to everyone, everyone! Your son, who stands with us, affirms this. We all love you just as we all love him. You’ve done a good job, and so, I thank you.

Me (touched): Well, I should be the one saying thank you, Veronica. I love you. And Erik, I love you very much, Baby. Come visit more! Maybe when we go to Norway you’ll have saved up some energy and come to visit.

Erik: Since I can’t be there in the physical, Mom, I’m going to do everything I can to see you all. I love you all too. Tell everybody that. We’re going to see each other again, Mom. That’s for damn sure. I love you, and I can’t believe you’re writing a book about things that I’ve said!

Me: Well, you’ve done all the hard work, Erik! I’m just the transcriptionist. It’ll say, “By Erik Rune Medhus.” All the rest of us will just be little bylines.

Erik: Isn’t that so cool?

Me: Yes, very cool. You didn’t like to read books much when you were here, but here you are writing one—and on such an important subject! Amazing! Anyway, I love you dearly, Sweetie! Merry Christmas, Erik, and Merry Christmas to you too, Jeannie!

Jeannie: Ah, you too, and thank you so much. Take care of yourself.

Me: Yes ma’am, and you too. Thank you for everything. I’m very grateful to you. Couldn’t do it without you.

Jeannie (laughing): And I’m grateful to you, too; we all are. Talk to you soon!

Me: Yes ma’am, Goodbye!

Jeannie: Goodbye, now.

Four announcements, my sweets: Lukas and my father are both doing so much better, thanks to your magnificent healing powers! Also, I’m still waiting to hear from Jamie or her assistant. They’re working on a program for us for the spring, fall or both. Third, I’m reading a book entitled, From Elsewhere: The Subculture of Those Who Claim to be of Non-Earthly Origins by Scott Mankelker, PhD. For all of you who feel out of place or even miserable on the earthly plane, please read this, because you’ll find it so very healing. Written in 1995, you’ll also be stunned by the prophesies in it. Last, for some reason, the scheduler on The Sheila Show accidentally neglected to confirm us on the show, so he’s rescheduling that. Shirley MacLaine and her CEO has responded to my email, saying they would both read the blog, but I haven’t heard anything since. I’ve also contacted George Noory, Ellen DeGeneres and others. If you have any other ideas to help expand our reach, let me know, or you can email some of these media pundits to let them know how Channeling Erik has affected you (if it has.)

Here are some email addresses to share your story:

George Noory: george@coasttocoastam.com

Ellen Degeneres: http://ellen.warnerbros.com/show/respond/?PlugID=10

Shirley MacLaine: info@shirleymaclaine.com

Hey Elisa…thank you so much for asking about my illness and why it is happening now, it is so, so important to me.

And, thank you Rebecca for your kind words. You melted my heart because I could sense that you really understand what I am going through…bless you for responding to me. I hope your path gets easier and you can enjoy life to the fullest some day…love you.

After reading the above about addictions, I am struck by how much it directly relates with Rupert Sheldrakes’ Morphic Resonance and Memory Theory. Basically he states that humans have evolved over millions of years with a sort of cellular memory that programs each of us in certain ways for survival. He speaks of this cellular memory in a more extended fashion as being more of a “morphic field” such as magnetism or gravity which cannot be seen or directly measured but is there nonetheless.

This could be the energy field that Reiki and other energy healers are working with….fascinating that science may be on the cusp of really bringing light to this desperately needed field of healing. Perhaps Rupert Sheldrake is a Lightworker himself.

I further feel that the evolution of our morphic field is greatly influencing our cellular memory and manifesinting in many ways that may result in illness due to past life traumas. Thus yes, past lives are influencing us and yet we have no idea why or how.

Very, very interesting concerning addictions because all those who are addicts seem so powerless against its control.

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

Sure Pat. Hey, I added some stuff to today’s post if you want to revisit it. BTW, my daughter’s boyfriend is a fourth year med student and guess what lecture was given to the students: Reiki!! I’m so proud of UT Houston Medical School!!!

  • Denise

I have heard of cellular memory before; even to the point of past incarnation injuries creating a birthmark of some kind on the present physical body. It would be interesting to know if the cellular memory is just my personal memory of past life diseases or injuries. Is there the element of the genetic influence of my physical ancestors in the mix as well. I know I could possibly inherit epilepsy from my father but could I also inherit any emotional trauma he may have experienced?

  • http://www.channelingmyself.com `Todd

Wow! Very brave of you to post this one Elisa. I doubt most M.D.s would want to post something so controversial. There was an article in the Denver Post about doctors refusing to see children who have not been vaccinated. http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/27019693/detail.html

My daughter’s mother and I have have always feared giving her vaccines, we mutually decided to only give her what is absolutely necessary.

  • amy cavanaugh

This came from my daily Channeling Jovus email.

http://www.jovius.org it relates to a topic from a week or so ago bust it is easier to post it here-great spirits think alike cause Jovus is saying exactly what Erik shared. I am glad that they are teaching Reiki at UT because when we were at Jackson in Miami they wanted to here nothing of anything alternative.

Speaking of alternative-I am on my way to Tallahassee to speak to the legislature about medical marijuana. Miss everyone, I havent had time to read everyones posts.

    Intervening is not always best..

Observing the pain of others is something you can witness without actually doing anything. Sometimes, those who think they are in need do suffer. In their suffering, they search for approval. It is entirely possible that as they search for validation of what they suffer about, you can acknowledge their feelings without becoming a part of their misery. They are human, as you are. Showing your compassion without getting on board with their misery can further them on their path. Allow those who have pain and confusion to learn by example. Love all.

Show your heart and shine it out..

Exciting stuff, Elisa! I’m SO psyched to see Erik’s messages spread. I’m going to order Scott Mankelker’s book right now. – XOXO

  • Amy N.

This is off-topic for this entry but you’ve mentioned the trouble you’ve had meditating and I have had the same problem for many years. I can’t seem to turn off that voice in my head, it just won’t shut up so that I can experience the silence and maybe hear some answers! Anyway, I have been using these Brainwave CD’s that have Alpha, Delta, Theta etc brain pulses embedded in either sounds of nature or classical music and they have really helped me a lot. You can get them from Amazon.

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

I think I have some of those so I’ll have to dig them out. Which ones do you recommend, Amy N?

  • Jane

WOW Elisa. I had no idea it was even possible to finish med school in 3 rather than 4 years. And i thought you said you had ADD!;) I really wish i had your brains, i admire doctors and really respect your accomplishments! You must also be an incredibly disciplined person or else you just loved medicine like a duck to water :) That is just so amazing. Much respect!

SO glad to have info about the vaccines. We delayed our son’s vaccines, trying to space them out, b/c i just had such a strong gut feeling that the ratio of dosage to his tiny body mass was too dangerous. I have really struggled b/c of all the fear, i take mothers’ gut feelings and “anecdotal” stories seriously however at the same time you always think “well but aren’t vaccines one of the great gifts of science?” This has really helped, thankyou to you and Erik.

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

LOL Jane, I’m not as smart as I used to be. Gotta use it or lose it I guess!

  • Carol

I had to laugh at Erik not giving you much credit for your medical knowledge and wanting to see a “real” doctor. Danica, my youngest daughter, doesn’t like to give me credit for my knowledge of medicine (I’m a R.N. for any newbies). When she graduated from High School someone asked me if she was going to go to college. I replied, “Why? She already knows everything!”. Hats off to all of you who still have teenagers in the home.

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

      Carol, it’s a humbling experience ain’t it?

  • Amy N.

I have the Brainwave Suite with 4 CD’s, Alpha for relaxation, Alpha-Theta for awakened mind, Theta for insight and Delta for Sleep as well as a Gamma CD for compassion, meditation and heightened awareness. They are by Dr. Jeffrey Thompson.

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

Thanks Amy N. I’ll see if I have the same ones! I might!

  • Jane

Hi Pat, if you don’t mind my asking, what did you find out about your illness?

  • Stanley

    Hello Amy N,

I have pretty bad ADHD. I am on medication for it but due to high blood presure I can rarely take it. So most times I just have to do my best. Anyway, the reason I mentioned it was because you mentioned meditating and not being able to calm your mind. I find music helpful. I have directions on how I do a quick clearing/meditation along with the audio file http://picsanddocuments.homestead.com/Meditation.html

I find the music, the best is something without words. Just sound. I find it gives the mind something to focus on. I have been practicing Astral Projection and have been making good progress. But it requires one to be in deep meditation to do it. It’s been quite a challenge to do this with ADHD. But it proves that it CAN be done. So please keep trying, don’t give up Amy.

And Elisa, great topic. I have been following this issue with vaccines being the cause of autism and ADHD for quite some time. For awhile it’s been throught that it’s the murcury which is used as a preservitive in the vacines as the cause.

It’s never been concidered, at least as far as I know, that the cause could be the amount of vacines in a short period of time. Perhaps this idea could be checked out if it anyone would listen to the possibility.

And I have to say it must be quite an experience to be able to talk with one of your angels in real time thanks to Jeannie.

    -Stanley

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

I think ADHD is just a different cognitive style–one that society doesn’t know how to accommodate. Have you tried Omega-3 Stanley? Also, I’ve heard that regular EFT can help. Here’s a YouTube video about the success of using EFT for ADHD: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q3C0v5jQit0

Good morning, everyone. Hope everyone is well this morning.

The purpose of meditating isn’t to get good at meditating. There are some people who have been meditating for 20 years and are angry and haven’t become enlightened. There are hundreds, maybe thousands of CDs of guided meditation available if people want assistance in staying focused, and there are also hundreds of books about different kinds of meditation with each meditation having a different goal. The Dalai Lama, for instance, recommends chanting Om Mani Padme Hung because that is the meditation of compassion, and if one meditates repeating that chant and thinking about the meaning of the words (if you google the Dalai Lama and Om Mani Padme Hung you can read what he says) it is supposed to increase one’s compassion.

Adyashanti, a teacher from the Zen tradition, says almost all meditation styles are practices in manipulation, and one merely becomes good at manipulation, and though there are advantages in being able to manipulate our thoughts, it doesn’t lead to enlightenment. His CDs urge and have on them “unmanipulated” thought meditation. He stresses the importance of seeing “what comes up”…that what comes up is one’s “messes”, and there’s value in knowing what needs to be dealt with.

I had a problem with the alpha, delta, etc. wave CDs. Having read about them, the different “type” are supposed to work with different brains, and I have no idea what “type” I am. The articles I read don’t tell how you can determine your “type.” Also, my MD, who does acupuncture, says you have to meditate with headphones on with those CDs as they’re in stereo and you HAVE to have different info going in each ear, and I am not comfortable with headphones on while meditating. How do you work it Amy?

  • http://channelingerik Pat

Hi Jane…I haven’t found out anything yet about my illness. All the tests so far have come back negative and since my Mother had IBS from very young and I don’t have health insurance, I can’t afford to get any further tests done.

So, for now, I am assuming since I have all the symptoms of IBS and no other symptoms to suggest something else, that that is what I have.

    As far as any answers from Jason or anyone else, I haven’t heard anything yet. I would love to have a session with Jamie but can’t afford that either since I am unemployed. So, I am still hoping for help since Elisa (bless her heart) said she will ask Erik. {{{{{{hugs Elisa}}}}}

I tend to believe what Skoshi suggests that it may be related to some sort of past life issues regarding either abuse or some sort of sexual trauma. I have always had problems in my pelvic area…so maybe she is right.

And, by the way…thank you so much Skoshi for suggesting the meditation technique. I will definitely try it. I find your history of agonizing health issues amazing. Your strength is incredible.

And you’re right about the CASA role, I, like you, am too much of an empath to be able to handle it even though I deeply yearn to help those who are our most vulnerable.

It seems we are all a little broken one way or another and have chosen difficult paths. And, it is so great to be able to offer support, suggestions and help in any way we can to ease each other’s pain.

Bless Elisa and Erik for bringing us together and {{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}} to all the CE family.

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

Love you, Pat!!!! I have the session with Jamie/Erik tomorrow, so we’ll see what happens!

I still have doubts that reincarnation (back to earth) is particularly widespread. I’m more inclined to the idea that “other earth lives” are projections from other spirits that get absorbed and “re” experienced. Of course, I don’t claim to know, just saying I’m less inclined than maybe some others to have that be my jump-off point to explain other stuff that takes re-incarnation for granted.

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

I never thought about that. Maybe I need to have my second cup of coffee, but can you explain this concept of other spirits getting absorbed and re-experienced, John Joseph?

  • http://www.thebodycodetohealth.com linda

    Denise asks -
***I know I could possibly inherit epilepsy from my father but could I also inherit any emotional trauma he may have experienced?***

Yes indeed! My mentor, Dr. Nelson (The Emotion Code/ The Body Code) has discovered that Trapped Emotions can be inherited, much like other genetic material. Not only just from our parents but well beyond!

Dr. Brad tells of one instance where his daughter (who was working on him) discovered he had a Trapped Emotion of ‘Hopelessness’ that traced to Irish ancestors that were potato farmers. I have cleared TEs that have gone back 15-20 generations. One of the fascinating things about this process is that when an inherited TE is released, it releases all the way back up through the lineage! In Dr. Brad’s example, his daughter actually ‘felt’ all the ancestors lining up to thank her for releasing this emotion! Pretty neat stuff!

Great to hear Lukas is still doing well. After so many years of pain and ‘medical mystery’ – certainly a great example of the power of energy work for those skeptics out there! : )

Hey Pat, sorry I didn’t get back to you. I didn’t pick up on anything from Erik or guides et. al., and when I saw Elisa said she’d ask I let it go. I’ve been totally swamped the past couple of weeks and totally forgot; and so I just wanted to say, it wasn’t intentional; not replying that is. This week I finished my Reiki training. I’ll put you on my list to send energy to. I’ve never been good at picking up anything in relation to peoples illnesses or that sort of thing. When I try I usually get a empty space in the minds eye.

  • Tracy Lamont

    Thanks Elisa,
I will e-mail all of the aforementioned and tell them how you, Erik and the rest of our CE family are helping me to understand where we all come from and thus, helping me to heal my grief.
I have to admit, I shed a tear with this transcription. It is so touching, what Erik and your angel, Veronica were saying about you. Of course, the rest of us knew you were a lightworker. It is just so obvious. You have touched so many lives in a positive way with this blog. I don’t know what I would do without you guys. I think after Atlanta, the next AGM needs to be in Scotland!
Another thing, have you thought about contacting John Edward? I saw him in Glasgow last year and he was amazing. This blog would be right up his street as he is not just a fabulous medium, but also a counsellor. I know he would run with this.

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

I don’t know what I’d do with you, either. I told Joanne that she and Damien ought to come stay in our chalet in Norway some summer, you too! We have plenty of room and it’d me so awesome to see you!!! How hard is it to fly from where you are to Oslo? We’ll stuff you with Norwegian food, hike, bike, and watch the sun never set. You game?

I think I contacted John Edward a long time ago. How do you think he could help us expand our reach? He’s amazing. I used to watch “crossing over” all the time, even before Erik died.

  • Jane

Hi Elisa, thank you very much for reposting the EFT link.

As far as Omegas go, do you recommend only the brand that your daughter uses, or are the NOW brands ok, or does it matter? Thank you.

Is the AGM for adults only? We have our little one. I have written down that I would like to go but then let go & offered it up to what is highest and best as per Erik’s advice :)

Regardless hope everyone has a spectacularly wonderful time!

Pat thank you for the answer. I’ve had IBS sx throughout my life but found out once i had my child that it was dairy all along. I’ve heard that IBS can be related to emotional upheaval as well. Once I learn Reiki (starting in April) I will send some “reik” your way ;)

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

@ Jane, I buy mine at http://www.lef.org: Super Omega they’re called. I like the enteric coated so you don’t burp up fishy smells (tee hee) but as long as the amount is the same as taking two of those twice a day, it’s fine. Just check the label and see if you can find something comparable. Oh, and I understand Krill Oil helps the bioavailability, but I don’t know much else.

What is the AGM? (I know I’m gonna kick myself when you tell me what those letters stand for!)

@Robert and everyone else: When are we going to have our next phone conference?

  • Sylvia

Tracy, I have to agree with you on Scotland as a meeting place.
We live in Connecticut but went to Scotland summer before last.
It was such a spiritual place for me, but then my distant ancestors
came from Luss, Loch Lomond. Maybe just cellular memories at
work (!) but a spectacular place for anyone with its austere, haunting landscape in all its beauty.

  • JoAnn Nichols

My first child had a bad experience with her first vaccinations and since that time i never did get the dangerous one (whooping cough one)it has been so long ago that i have forgotten the name of the culprit but I am in total agreement about them being too strong for such tiny babies.

  • JoAnn Nichols

I would love to write to one or all of the people you gave us the email addresses for but i am afraid i will sound stupid and not be able to express how wonderful this blog is and how it saved my life, i am going to pray and ask for guidance everyday till i feel comfortable with what i am going to say is there a time frame for the letters from our blog members?

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

Oh, JoAnn, you silly goose! Of course you won’t sound stupid. Just write from your heart when you want or don’t write if it makes you feel uncomfortable.

  • john joseph

    Elisa,

I’m can’t offer some tangible, experiential evidence, I’m just not completely convinced intuitively about reincarnating on the earth plane and I have heard explanations that a spirit can “tap” into the memories of another and the empathy is so tangible that they mistake the other’s experience for their own. I can imagine individual cases but the idea that the wheel turns and the conductor yells “next stop, earth” and we all get off again does not make spiritual sense to me.

It could be that we are just so “earth-centric” that we conflate new experiences in the physical with always taking place on earth, and that in fact we move onto other galaxies, planes, etc. I really don’t know, I just go on my feelings. There is a very interesting chapter in August Goforth’s book “The Risen” where his life partner (now on the other side) crossed over and wandered around asking where he needed to report to reincarnate and that he was sort of good naturedly humored by other spirit-beings about it. Following this is a compelling discourse on why reincarnation is an illusion, which I immediately connected with. That’s the first time I saw my “hunch” spiritually corroborated, if you will, and since I note that a book devoted to reincarnation as a misunderstanding has been published, though I can’t recall the title or author. I sometimes have to take a break from this stuff, if you know what I mean. It could be that everything is ultimately so subjective to a particular consciousness that groups form within those to share their collective truths, and no one’s is more “true” than anyone else’s. In any case, it’s fascinating and appreciated to hear your son’s take on it and all the generous spirits that find a way to communicate with us and show how much they still care for us.

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

John Joseph, this is a fascinating concept! I just assumed the traditional model of reincarnation was “right.” Have any of you other blog members considered what John is saying? I’m not even sure how to phrase it as a question for Erik!

  • Denise

Thanks, Linda. I will have to look into Dr Nelson’s work.

  • Jane

Hahahaha I don’t know what exactly AGM stands for either I was just using Tracy’s term for the get together in Atlanta. LOL, “Atlanta’s Got Mojo?”

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

Ah! I’m talking to Jamie tomorrow so I’ll ask her how the program dates are fleshing out. (to use a gross phrase)

  • Amy N.

Hi Skoshi (That means “little” in Japanese),
I have a set of Bose headphones that are very comfortable and also keep other distracting noises out while meditating.
Please say a prayer for Japan, my Mother is not able to reach any of our relatives to be sure they are OK after the quake this morning.

  • Tracy Lamont

AGM? Is that just a British term? Over here it means Annual General Meeting.
Hey Sylvia. Loch Lomond is a beautiful place and is the basis for my husband’s family name, Lamont. Think his origional clan were based in that area.
And as for John Edward. He has such a large following now of spiritually minded people and if he was interested enough he may want to speak to you, Elisa on prime time!! Then we would get all the viewers checking us out. Our family would then be huge! How big did you say that house was in Norway?!
AS for your kind offer, Elisa, that would be fab. Might take you up on that one!
Love and blessings to all xx

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

Atlanta’s Got Mojo!!! Hey Tracy, you can stay at the house in Norway any time. I’d like to say it’s big enough to house the entire French Foreign Legion, but it has room for around 13-15. People could draw straws to sleep outside in tents with the moose! ;-) If anyone wants some photos, just email me.

What’s the best way to contact John Edwards?

  • Tracy Lamont

That sounds fantastic! next AGM in Norway – Angry Great Moose!!

    http://www.johnedward.net/content/contact

This link may help. Seems to be the only official site for John Edward.
Maybe you could send him a link to CE and the Huff Post etc.. Bombard him with lots of interesting anecdotes about all of your experiences with Erik, Elisa, make us irresistable so he just has to find out more!
And Erik, you can do your bit. Get on the case of these people and tell ‘em to contact your mama!

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

Ha!!! Angry Great Moose! Love it!!! Thanks for the link, girl!
