Channeling Erik

I just got through watching the most amazing DVD called The Afterlife Investigations: Has Science Proven the Afterlife. If you are still a skeptic watch it and your doubts will vanish. If you have a loved one with who thinks we’re all a little woo-woo nuts, have them watch it so you can say, “I told you so, fool.” Here’s the link: http://www.theafterlifeinvestigations.com/

Second announcement: Channeling Erik has dropped from first place to third! Yikes. Please post a request on Facebook for all of your friends to vote and email the same request to your contact list. Tell them Erik will haunt them for all eternity if they don’t vote! Also, sometimes the confirmation email finds its way to the junk/spam folder. Make sure that if they don’t get the confirmation email within seconds of voting, to check those folders for it.

The final winner will be announced February 27th! We could use that army of angels now, eh?

Love you all!

Elisa

    Hi Elisa,
Can you watch the AfterLife Investigations,” on line or must you purchase the DVD?I’d love to watch it now but it comes from the UK and not sure if it is region friendly.

It works over here, cuz I just played it. Maybe you can email TCole to see if he’ll sell a downloaded version? Just go to the contact page (I’m assuming there is one.) Meanwhile, I’ll do some checking.

After watching the promo for,”The Afterlife Investigations,” it reminded me of something similar that happened to me. After my son, David passed I bought a voice recorder for my younger son. He recorded a few things and then left it in the kitchen over night. When he went to use it the next day he checked the last recording and it said, “I am David.” in my late son’s voice. I have kept the recorder and it has never been used again. My younger son was freaked out and didn’t want to use it again. The last recording is still on it. To record on it you have to hold a button down.

I sure could use some advice or guidance regarding sessions with mediums or clairvoyants. Maybe my expectations are unrealistic, but I have been disappointed in the last two I have had recently. What do you think of a medium that asks you before starting the session “what do you do for a living?” and “are you in a relationship?” I was immediately put off by those questions and felt throughout the session that my answers to those questions dictated some of the information that came through in the reading. Both sessions seemed vague enough to apply to a multitude of people. There was nothing I could grab onto that made me think it was legitimate. I have one more session scheduled next month with yet another medium, but I am thinking about cancelling it. the reason I would do that (besides saving the money) is if my expectations are too high of what I might experience. I can’t afford to hear that everyone has an off day, so maybe it wasn’t a good reading. Can anyone offer me some guidance with this?

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

It’s tough, because they’re human too. And for it to be a successful session, both medium and sitter need to be open and receptive channels. Even then, disappointment is common, especially if you’re here to learn about faith, like I am. Sometimes our lesson is to learn to look to our higher self for answers rather than rely on external sources. In those cases, I guides might help sabotage our medium sessions. Not sure about this. It’s just coming out. Just know that a bad session doesn’t mean it’s all bullshit.

  • Kathy

In no way do I think it’s bullshit…I really believe in this and reading this blog has helped validate some of my thoughts/theories that I have had long before this blog. I do believe that some people have a special gift. Every medium/psychic I have had dealings with has told me I am highly intuitive and possess psychic and healing skills of my own. I want more validation, but am finding less from the recent sessions. Do you think I should expect the next medium to be able to tell me the name of my guardian angel that came forth in the reading earlier this week. That would certainly be validation for me. But is that realistic?

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

Kathy, I have a sneaky suspicion that what we think of as “reality” couldn’t be further from it. Hopefully within the next 30 years or so, humanity will understand that THE reality is nothing like the limited 3-D, 5 sense earthly plane we live in know. Robert and I were talking about this today. Everything is energy–a sea of energy really. If we could tune into various frequencies, we could flip from seeing the physical/material energy to the spiritual essence, etc. which is just really like tuning from one radio station to the next. So that means we really ARE Home. We’re in Heaven, we just can’t see the spirit aspect of ourselves and others. You know those hologram cards or bookmarks with little ridges that you can tilt at one angle and see one picture and then another angle to see a different picture? Kind of like that. When Robert gets better, we can have another conference chat and he can explain it better.

      Exactly!

    Hey Kathy,

Don’t be put off by questions asked by a channel or medium. When we sit down to do a session, we don’t get a download of every detail of your life. Cripes, it would take hours to sift through all that information! When a channel or medium does a reading for you, they need to know where to start and specifically what questions to ask your guides (or theirs) so they can get the info you’re asking for. The sessions I do vary from one person to the next and what happens in each session can reach extremes even I couldn’t expect…like the one I did last night for a woman in Canada who does Reiki for horses. Never in a million years could I have told you that I would end the session speaking to a horse spirit calling on her to heal a “sad heart”!

If you want, I can set up a no-charge session for you so you can see what goes on on both sides. I’ll explain everything I’m doing so you get a better idea of what to expect from your next session.

Hey Kathy. I am a newbie. I don’t “give” readings per say yet. I only accept that which comes to me and let me tell ya. Some times that is not much. Sometimes, it’s weird and symbolic. Sometimes it’s full-on conversation. Sometimes, it’s only vision and feelings or a combination, or sometimes the physical mixed in.

Just as all sensitives are different vessels, they are different practices, levels of experience, knowledge and awareness levels, vibrational levels. So to with Spirits! What I wouldn’t give for rules and consistency sometimes. But in my opinion the whole “key” is to discover that which is within oneself to remember, awaken, and become aware of spirit each ourselves and to facilitate communication in each of us. Sometimes their answer is no. Sometimes it is ask later, and sometimes it’s keep looking.

Now Names are tricky. My guides actively “Blocked” Robert before. They told him it was for me to figure out. They all made ME name them. Because they said names were pointless. It was the spiritual message of the progression of the soul that mattered.

Now as far as Angels, that’s even trickier. Some of those can’t even be pronounced or are tonal! Most of the time they speak as one voice and are nameless. I tried to insist once.. So as a joke, they have me call them “Angel”. Yea. all of them. “Hey Angel!”…. “Yes child we are here…”.. Sooo… I just wanted to say sorry your reading wasn’t very satisfying. Hopefully you’ll stick with us and we can all keep learning together!

    –hugs!

I bet your angels are testing you Jason. You tend to be afraid of disappointing people you care about and that makes you get stuck. Part of the responsibility for a “satisfactory” session is up to the sitter and the guides. For instance, there are some things the sitter is not supposed to know because it might gum up the spiritual path they’ve designed for themselves. And we all know the future can change depending on our free will and the free well of countless others. That said, it’s like cold calling for new accounts. Just dismiss the “defeats” and cherish the “successes.” There’s a very good reason for both. They want you to disconnect from your readings from the emotional and the expectation standpoint. Otherwise it’ll be hard to build confidence. This objective detachment and not becoming married to a specific outcome will help you grow as a channel. Again, it’s the journey, not the destination. I feel this comment is being channeled cuz I don’t usually know stuff like this. LOL.

    Hey Elisa,

Your comment above about why psychic readings may be vague or non-informational was spot on.

I personally have always felt a little cautious in going to psychics because it may put you in a position where you are “forcing” the outcome of a situation based on a reading.

And, I feel that there are so many variables and so many alternative universes out there that we need to be true to our own path.

Then also there is the situation where a reading may suggest you follow a certain path and then disaster strikes. This actually happened to me. I was desperate for advice when opening a new business and I consulted a medium. I was told that it was a good path for me. And, guess what? It was a disaster…had to declare bankruptcy…the whole works.

But what was really interesting is that perhaps this was the lesson I was supposed to learn because I was getting so caught up in materialism and success.

So no one is ever really sure about what psychics may tell you. Our level of experience is multi-level, multi-variant and full of infinite possibilities that we may never understand on this level and there never is just one path when you have Free Will. So, what we feel may have been a “bad” reading may be exactly what your guides felt you needed.

So, I would keep that in mind and look more within for the answers which is the source of your higher self that is your very own best Guardian Angel…You!

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

You’re right, Pat! But I have such a hard time trusting my interpretation of my Higher Self. I know that’s pretty common!

  • http://channelingerik Pat

Elisa…I know what you mean, it is very common. I struggle every day with connecting with my higher self. What I have ended up doing is just trusting what “feels” right for me.

I also cannot seem to meditate. It’s weird. I sit down and try to calm my mind but it just isn’t working for me. So I have tried to resolve myself that my brain is resisting and now I am trying to figure out why. I may have to book a session with Jamie to help figure this out.

I even have a hard time with hypnosis. When someone tried to hypnotize me once, all I could think about was that I felt foolish. Maybe there is a “surrender” element to all this. I know that I am very analytical and left-brained…so perhaps it’s just the way I am hard-wired.

Thanks for the comment. I guess we have to just keep the faith…lol
