Me: Okay, again, I’ve asked you this before, but I just want to see what else you’ve picked up. How are new souls born or created and why?

    (Long pause)

Jamie (chuckling): He’s pausing. He’s repeating the question to me. It’s like he’s thinking about it.

Erik: Let’s start with the idea of a new soul. Frankly, we’re not new at all.

    Me: Um hm.

Erik: Because we all come from God Source, and God ain’t new.

Me: Are you saying God’s getting a little long in the tooth?!

    Erik and Jamie laugh.

Erik: But if you’re asking in terms of whether or not the soul is coming to the earth for the first time—

Me: Or maybe just when the soul individuates or separated from Source. Hell, I don’t really know what I’m asking at all! Help me out here, buddy! Tell me what I’m asking! (I start laughing at my own confusion.)

Erik: Well, think about it, Mom. We all have conscious collective memory.

    Me: Okay.

Erik: Well, maybe we’ll call it a subconscious collective memory. So the definition of “new” doesn’t really fit.

Me: What about a tentacle breaking off from the God Source, then? It’s still part of the old stuff, but it’s new from the standpoint of being a tentacle.

Erik: Yeah, cuz even if a soul is having its first experience, it’s not new. So maybe we can ask if there are still spirits that have first experiences on earth.

    Me: Okay.

Erik: We can say, yes. Yes there are. The population is growing. But you think, at the same time, uh, look at the rate of trees being cleared. These are all souls coming back to the Source. And of course there are souls that want to come in. These souls can take the shape of man, of animal—we’re really outgrowing ourselves.

Me: Wow, so I’ll ask this one again: do animals always come back as animals, a plant as a plant and a rock as a rock?

Erik: No, that’s like saying a black person can only come back as a black person. We’re not confined to race.

Jamie: Oh, so Erik, you’re putting insects, animals, trees and humans all on the same level, and you’re considering these almost like all different races?

    Erik: Yeah!

(Long pause as I wait (in vain) for elaboration.)

Me: Okay. So these new souls, oops, I mean these new tentacles from Source are being projected to earth because it sort of accelerates God’s experience of Itself?

    Erik: Yep.

Me: Because we have more bodies to—

    Jamie: To fill.

Me: Okay. Now, do souls age? I mean, of course there’s no time, so how does that work?

Erik: No, we gain knowledge and information, but we don’t age; we don’t grow old or weak. We don’t dissolve. It’s a conscious effort if you wanna dissolve and go back to God’s pure energy. And when you do that, you relinquish yourself, but you’re not burning or evaporating. The work you’ve done, the memories you’ve had, it maintains itself in that conscious pool of information.

Me: But you can choose the age you want to appear as, obviously. Erik, you probably look like you’re twenty, twenty-one, but, you know, you could just as easily appear as eighty or ten.

    Erik: Yes. Yes.

Me: Right. Now, do souls raise children in the afterlife?

Erik: No, because as an energy source, you’re not helpless, not like having an infant who can’t walk or feed itself. It’s not like on earth where you have to protect and support and provide for a child until it can do that on its own. When you’re in spirit, you are on your own. That doesn’t mean we enjoy being alone all the time. We enjoy having units: family units, gatherings, friends, you know, intimacy.

Me: Okay, so it’s not like you need to raise a child because they need support, nurturing, guidance and protection, but can you still have a family unit, create a family unit there and create children who grow up and enjoy that process, or…

Erik: I know what you’re asking, and it sounds wonderful when you say it, but it just doesn’t fit with how we live. We don’t have that yearning within us, cuz there’s no drive to reproduce.

Me: Oh. Well, what about this: If you have—like there was one family unit we talked about who died all at once in a car accident. Now the children and parents live together in the afterlife—have a little house they created, they grill outdoors and do all the things they used to do on earth—can you have that? I mean, say you were a soul family on earth, and uh, you know—

Erik: Yes, Mom. I know what you’re saying and yes. You can maintain that family unit and you can play life just as you did on earth.

    Me: Okay.

Erik: The only weak moment I can think of is when a person dies on earth—infant, child, teenager, adult or elderly or whatever—

Jamie (giggling): He’s going through all the ages for us!

Erik: So, at any age, there’s that weak spot when they arrive and they go, “You know, I might know where I am, but how does this work; what am I doing?”

    Me: Yeah.

Erik: And that’s when we band together, and we say, “Let me show you; let me walk you around; let me open your mind.”

    Me: I see.

Erik: But we’re only able to do as much as they’re willing to accept or even listen to, and when it gets over their head, it stops right there.

Me: It reminds me of how kids all have to figure things out for themselves, make the same mistakes we made at their age, because they don’t want to listen to the advice that comes from our own experience. Reinventing the wheel.

Now for a special treat. Blog member, Melanie, was videotaping her daughter sing (her voice is beautiful), and when she sings the word “flower” watch the screen. As that happened, Melanie’s deceased daughter, Kara, crossed her mind. Tell me what you see and think! All you have to do is click on the link below and the video will download to your desktop.

    Dear Reader,

The journey on which you’re about to embark will take you through stories that are deeply personal and involves a relationship between a mother and her son.

As a physician raised by two atheists, I had no personal belief system about life after death. In a word, I was a confirmed skeptic. As my journey progressed, my mind opened. It is my sincerest hope that yours will open as well and that you will have a greater understanding of your own life and what’s to come ahead.

Although Erik sometimes paints a rosy picture of the afterlife, time and time again he stresses that suicide is not the answer to one’s problems. If you struggle, please understand that the information in my blog and my book is no substitute for professional help. Please click here for a list of resources for help when you find yourself considering taking your own life. Know that they are readily available when you feel that hopelessness and despair that many of us feel from time to time in our lives.

I refuse all donations and ad revenue on the blog. It is my dream to one day establish a nonprofit organization that delivers a variety of spiritual services for those who have lost loved ones to suicide and cannot afford that assistance on their own. It’s a mission of love, sacrifice, and dedication.

For those of you who weren’t able to listen to the radio show yesterday, it was amazing. Erik was in fine form, the callers asked wonderful questions and Jamie, as always, was her usual gifted self, a wide open, filter free channel. No worries, though, because when the hosts have the mp3 file available, I’ll post it on the blog for you guys.

Today, I included a question many of you had for Moses after his interview a few months ago. Sorry it took so long, but the queue of transcriptions is not a short one. After that, Erik will present the main event.

Me: Okay, now one of the things you said when we interviewed Moses, Erik—he said that he was alive when all three religions were together at once, but that doesn’t make any sense, because all three religions weren’t all together at once. So, that baffled some of the blog members.

Jamie: Do we have to call Moses in? What was the question? What three religions?

Me: Christianity, Judaism and Islam. Maybe the roots were together at once? I don’t know. So what did he mean, Erik?

    Jamie: Oh!

Me: And he saw them together and then they branched off their separate ways and didn’t keep the important tenets that they all shared at first.

Erik: You’re right. You had it right. It’s, um, he was there when it was just the one main belief.

Me: But Christianity? Was he here when Christianity, uh, because Jesus Christ wasn’t around then, but, so how did that work out?

    (Pause)

Me: Or was he alive, I don’t know, because maybe Moses was reincarnated. You tell me cuz I’m obviously lost here.

    Erik: In conversations with God.

Me Oh, that makes sense. Moses was alive in conversations with God. With all of these.

Erik: Yes. He was conversing with God while these were all splitting off.

    Me: Oh, okay.

Erik: It doesn’t mean he was on Earth, physically.

    *********************************************

Me: When are individual spirit created, or are they every born, in a sense? Have they always just existed? We’ve already covered this, but it’s always nice to approach the topic again for the new members who don’t go through the archives like they should.

    (Hint, hint.)

Me: Also, how far back in time can you remember? Oh, that’s interesting! So, to recap: The individual spirit: Are they every born, or have they always existed, and how far back into time can that spirit remember?

Erik: Individual spirits are not born. They are just a—

Jamie (to Erik): Do it. Just explain it.

    (Pause)

Jamie (to Erik, laughing): No, I don’t think there’s a word for that either! He said, “I want a word that means piece, like a piece of, but you’re still a part of it.” He was telling me how blanking, blanky, blank the English language is.

Jamie and I can’t help but burst out laughing.

Jamie: I said, ‘Just explain it out,’ and he said, “Okay.”

Erik: Human spirit is never born. It’s just a piece of the whole.

    Me: Right.

Erik (sounding a little frustrated at his loss for words): We always have to go back to the hologram thing, because I think that’s the best way to describe it. I don’t know anything else that does this where you can shatter it and pick up all the pieces and look at the individual piece and there’s still an image of the whole. So, Prime Source, God Source, Life Force, whatever the fuck you wanna call it, we are little particles of that whole. Though we identify ourselves in the human form as separate, we’re not. We’re a part of the whole. We’re connected. It’s just in subtle energy layers that we don’t see. A lot of us can feel them, but most of us cannot see them. So, we aren’t really born, because the whole—Prime Source or whatever—has always existed. As far back as you can remember? Um, that’s up to you.

    Me: Okay.

    Erik: If –

Jamie (laughing): You know, a paddleball?

    Me: Oh yeah.

Jamie: It has that elastic string and a rubber ball at the end ,and you try to hit it.

Erik: You know a kid version—it has a short elastic string and it’s much easier to do.

    Me: Uh huh.

Erik: But you get the adult one or the cheap one where the elastic is like already four feet long, and you can’t even like swing the ball because the elastic is so long.

Me: Oh god. I can’t even use the kid one.

Erik: Okay, so the ball is the human spirit, and the paddle is Life Force, God Source.

    Me: Okay.

Jamie giggles at whatever Erik is now saying.

Erik: And the string, the elastic, is the subtle energy that keeps us all whole and connected. Sometimes when you pull away from God Source, your elastic’s really short, and you still have this intense connection and these memories. And those memories can go far back—

    Jamie (giggling): Um, he’s cussing.

    Me: Ah oh.

Jamie (mimicking Erik): Fucking, fucking, fucking. The word he wants to use is “beginning” and he refuses to say it, because it’s not accurate.

Jamie and I both laugh at his conundrum. Poor Erik.

Erik: But in our linear world, that’s what we would call it. Beginning.

    Me: Sure.

Jamie: He’s yelling at me. “That’s not the fucking right word!” and I tell him, ‘I know, but you can’t come up with another word, can you?’

    Me: Oh, he’s stumped!

Jamie: Yes. It’s ticking him off! Wow. Sore spot!

Erik: Yes! Language is a sore spot for me. It’s stupid.

    Me: Aw.

Erik: I wish I could—you know, I just close my eyes, and if you’d feel it, you’d get it.

Me: I can feel it, but I can’t type that. But I can feel what you’re talking about, Erik.

Erik: Not linear, but what you’d call back to the beginning.

    Me: Right.

Erik: Because you are part of God Source, you have all of the experiences and memories of what God has.

Me: It’s almost a place instead of a timeline, right?

Erik: Yeah. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes! And some of us, we have like that really long elastic cord, and we just wanted to get as far away as possible.

    Me: Mm hm.

Erik: Just cuz it was what we wanted to do.

    Me: Yeah.

Erik: And nobody is going to judge us for it. We just did it, and sometimes it’s just hard to get the ball back to the paddle.

    Jamie bursts out laughing.

Me: God, Erik. We’re all bouncy balls to you, lately!

    Jamie and I both laugh.

Me: Okay, so can you remember the time of the split from Source?

    Erik: Hell yeah!

Me: Wow! What does it feel like?

Erik: I can only speak for myself on this one.

    Me: Okay.

Jamie (laughing): He’s going to get all Zen on you!

    Me: What?

Erik: I’m going to get all Zen on you.

    Me (chuckling): Okay. Got it.

Jamie: I’m just laughing, because the way he said it was so unnatural. It’s funny. He’s got his elbows on his knees, and he leans forward.

Erik: It’s like when the raindrop leaves the cloud. That’s how it feels.

Me: Ooo! Wait, how does that feel? I’m not a raindrop, and I’m not a cloud.

Erik: Maybe you should be, Mom.

Mom (laughing, in jest): Oh, god, you little twerp. If so, I just might rain on your parade. So explain.

Erik: Well, it really doesn’t have feeling. It’s not excitement or scary or anything. It’s not like giving birth or painful or—

Me: Is it like a breath?

Erik: Yeah, like when you breathe out. You know, the air that leaves your body as easy as it came in.

    Me: Okay.

Erik: I hate to disappoint you, but there are no fireworks.

Me: Well, I wouldn’t call it disappointing. You might hurt Source’s feelings, you know.

Erik (laughing): No I’m not! Source does not judge!

    Me: I’m teasing, silly.

Are any of you guys Skype savvy? Jamie and I just video Skyped an interview with the Sun God, Ra, and, like the last couple of Skype calls, the video blurs with movement, the audio is out of sync and cuts in and out, but was much worse than previous calls. Jamie says there was no problem with my video and audio, and when I Skype others, they’re very clear. I use Call Recorder to record and then convert the .mov file to YouTube, but this is almost unusable. I know have it as a url created from Mediafire. Are there changes we can make to Jamie’s computer? Can we salvage the file we have? Help!

Also, the Channeling Erik Weekend of F*^#ing enlightenment registration and details are up on Jamie’s page now. The event will take place in Atlanta, GA March 22 through March 24. I can’t wait to attend and hope to see you all there!

I want to express my pride and gratitude for the Channeling Erik family for rallying in support of our dear Lynette. I’m sure you’ll continue to keep her in your prayers, sending her the healing energy she needs. I met her in Atlanta during the first CE event, and she’s such a gentle and loving soul.

And now, here’s a question from a blog member: Where did our Erik begin?

Me: Here’s another question: Do you know how you began, Erik?

Erik: Began this journey or began this life?

Me: I’m not sure what he’s asking. I think he’s wondering if you recall how you began your entire journey as the personality known as Erik. I think that’s it. Or is there even a beginning? Since we see ourselves as linear in that we are born and then we live and ultimately we die, we assume everything has a beginning. Maybe that’s a misconception.

Erik: Oh, so like The Big Bang?

Me: I guess? The Big Erik Bang.

(Pause as Jamie listens to Erik)

Jamie (giggling): Erik! (to me) He makes a sexual joke!

    Me: Typical.

    Jamie: About the Big Bang.

Me: I can only imagine. The Big Gang Bang?

Jamie (grateful that I rescued her from having to repeat his words): Yes, you got it right.

Erik: That’s how life starts. If the guy wants to talk about the beginning of creation, I don’t think I’m the one for it. I just don’t know right now, but I think it’s probably safe to assume consciousness is a sentient energy that has always been. No start, no end. And that makes sense since they’re no time here.

Me: Do you think there’s an Erik that’s stuck on a lower plane that needs help?

    Erik: Nope.

    (Jamie laughs)

Me: And I guess the biggest question I have is this: Does he even care about these things? I mean, when we leave this plane, do we actively pursue these questions, or do we just get thrown into the eternal present where all this stuff becomes irrelevant? I think you already answered that. You really don’t care.

Erik: Yeah. It makes no difference. By the way, I was that Erik that needed help.

Me: I know, Sweetie. I figured as much!

Me: Are angels different from the spirits of the deceased? Are there special “celestial beings” that never live on the earthly plane and don’t reincarnate?

    Erik: Yes! Oh, hell yes!

Me: Oh, okay. Are there different orders and types of angels? Can you give me a short run down on all this?

Erik: Types or orders? There are just beautiful spirits and energies of people who have decided that they’re not gonna incarnate on a trapped body on earth.

Me: Hm, sounds like a bunch of chicken to me. I wanna sign up for that cushy little job.)

    Jamie laughs.

    Erik (chuckling): Really!

Me: So are these different energies, or are they special based on their decision to remain discarnate?

    Erik (laughing): Different energies like—

(Long pause as Jamie listens and giggles at the same time)

    Jamie (laughing): No, Erik!

Erik: Like these are all red-headed people over here and these are teeny weenie little angels that beelive in saving animals, and these are—no, it doesn’t all revolve around logging information, sorting, labeling.

    Me: Okay.

Erik: They can be entities from a higher plane who associate with other spiritual beings, or it can just be a soul that’s born that doesn’t want to be a part of earth. Maybe they counsel spirits who come back, or help in other ways. They do contribute, you know.

Me: So, they’re mostly different from the spirits of deceased, because of their decision of what role to take and whether to reincarnate or not?

    Erik: Right.

Me: So, there aren’t any specific types or orders? They just distinguish themselves by the roles they play?

Erik: They’re distinguished by their roles, yes.

Me: Okay, here’s another one. When we dream, do we travel to alternate probable realities, past and future lives, and can we meet our other selves?

    Erik: Yeah.

(Pause as I wait, in vain, for Erik to expound)

Me: Cool! So can one of our selves meet another self in the same life?

    (Pause)

Jamie: Oh, that was really cool! He says, yes.

Me: Oh, wow! Well, we can look different, I suppose. It’s like “Back to the Future.”

Erik: It is like that, isn’t it, but it’s in a way so that you won’t interfere with anything.

    Me: Oh, yeah.

Erik: Cuz often, you’re not going to recognize yourself.

Me: Can you give me more, Erik? I feel like I’m milking a cow again.

Erik: Shit, you haven’t milked any cows!

Jamie and I laugh. Little smartass.

Erik: Coming across yourself in another dimension or another timeframe—usually you’re living a different life; you have a totally different name, totally different awareness, and this happens more than you can imagine, in the wake state and the dream state.

Me: But usually while you’re in the dream state, right?

    Erik: Correct.

Me: Okay, now one person wants to know, “Can we start a chat room, Erik, and you can type on a keyboard and talk to blog members?” After all, you CAN push over a cat!

    Jamie (laughing): Yes!

Erik: I’ve been doing really well, getting into blog members’ meditations, thoughts, dreams. I’ve been doing my due diligent work; you’d be so proud me!

Me: Oh, I AM very proud of you, and I see that. Oh my gosh, you’re going all over the place, visiting so many people. Everybody always loves to share their Erik Visits! They call you, “Our Boy.”

    Jamie: Awww, that’s so sweet!

Me: Yeah. Such a loving community.

I know many of you watch in pain as the years go by after losing a loved one—one year, two years, five years, ten year, and on and on. If you’re like me, part of you has gained a new spiritual understanding of death and of the soul’s immortality. Yet, despite the comforting fact that we know our loved ones have simply shifted to another dimension right on top of our own—a paradise where we eventually will join them, it’s still hard, isn’t it?

Sometimes, when the house is empty, I call out for Erik like I used to:’ Erik, wake up and let’s go out for breakfast!’ ‘Erik, did you take out the trash?’ ‘Erik, come down for dinner, Sweetie!’ I choke back tears. I sing all of the lullabies that I used to sing when he was a baby. I pray I won’t live to see one hundred. God knows if my family saw me, they’d think I was nuts. I’m already on shaky ground in that territory as it is.

So it’s hard to have all this insight now, but still feel the emptiness in one’s arms and one’s heart, to feel wounded and reduced. We miss the hugs and kisses. We miss the pet nicknames and inside jokes. We miss having someone to nurture. We miss, in a word, the love. This is not to say that love can only emanate to and from one family member or friend, but each love is different. One love lost can never be replaced by another. If a puzzle piece is ripped away from that 3-D puzzle called life, that life is no longer what it was when every piece was in place. Once Erik was torn form my life, I was a right without a left, a to without a fro, a here without a there, a dark without a light. And all the spiritual knowledge we can cram into our minds and our hearts will never be enough. It may well buy us a little time, but, for me, only when we’re together again will I find the satisfaction that comes from feeling whole.

Hey all. I’m going to increase the size of the photos in the previous post so please re-visit them so you can see which of the orbs are obviously NOT dust specks. Also, at the bottom of this post, you’ll notice more icons under “Share the Love.” So you have more avenues to expand our family!

    Channeling Transcript

Me: How are new souls born or created and why?

Erik: Well, I’m still just learning so I can’t answer that totally. But here’s what I know: When you come over to this side, sometimes the work you choose to do—I choose to work from this spiritual realm, but others choose to go back maybe as a doctor like you or maybe something that will help the planet when it goes through this big work that they say is supposed to happen.

Me: Um hm. (At this point, I’m wondering if he misunderstood the question.)

Erik: So some choose to actually go back and do something that will help. Everyone over here, everyone does something of benefit to mankind or the planet.

Me: We need all the help we can get!

Erik: Oh, yeah. But the rest of the stuff about how souls are created I already covered. That’s all I really know right now.

Me: That’s fine! How do you manifest yourself to others, Erik?

Erik: It’s great focus on my part, and I’m still learning a lot. I can come easily to you and a few others, but if I was to go out and assist somebody I didn’t know very well that was having some issues, that’s harder. I’m learning how to do that now so I can guide people. The ones that need the most guidance are the hardest to get through to. So it’s all about focusing your intent, your energy. It’s really easy to focus on you and everyone I love, but those who I don’t know—that takes extra training.

    Me: Why is that, Sweetie?

Erik: It’s learning to move around—we can go anywhere we want, you know. But it takes a lot of training, kinda like a pilot that has to train.

    Me: Oh, okay.

Erik: It takes focus and a certain ability. I can see, I can see everywhere, but to actually go and move about, that takes time to learn.

Me: So going to the “stranger in distress,” so to speak; honing in on them is more difficult than going to places you know like our house or the houses of blog members you know?

Erik: Yeah, it takes energy. We have a lot of energy, but still, it’s learning how to control it.

Me: Yeah, I bet. How are you progressing with your training? How are you doing with that?

Erik: You know me! When I make my mind up…Really I am doing very well. That’s what they’re telling me.

Me That’s great, Baby. Do you ever get worn out?

Erik: I get tired, sure, but a different kind of tired. Yes, your energy can drop a little, but not like it was on the earth for me. That was different.

Me: Okay. Now, what is the connection between our love of music and our soul?

Erik: This is what makes me most excited, because I love my music, you know. Music is the voice of the soul. It comes from a place in the soul. Some can be dark, but most is full of light. It’s the voice of the soul.

Me: What about for humans on the earthly plane. What is our connection to music? Is it something different?

Erik: I picked this up pretty quickly, too, because I love music so much. All art, painting, sculpting, music, drama, acting, whatever, comes from a connection to the spirit world. It’s why artists and musicians go into a space when they create. They’re not in, um, it’s like they’re not in their bodies. They hear things or see things to paint. It’s the closest thing they can have to the spirit world on an unconscious level. It’s all channeled. Those beautiful painting don’t come from the physical. They come from the spiritual. It can be channeled from the Higher Self or other spiritual beings. So I guess music is also a connection between the spiritual realm and the physical one.

Me: Wow! So you say you hear music everywhere. What kind of music is it and how is it created? And is it just in each soul’s mind or is it really out in the ambient environment?

Erik: Oh, I never thought about if it was different for everybody else, like in their minds. I just thought everybody hears what I hear! I can ask  and let you know, but for me, it’s everywhere. It’s beautiful. It’s notes and harmony that goes so perfectly together. It just IS incredible. There’s a lot of singing and musical instruments—some I’ve never seen before. There can be different music too, just like on the earth. Some fast, some slow, but all so friggin’ beautiful.

Me: Amazing! Does it do anything to the energy of the soul?

Erik: Yep, it brings an incredible peace. It’s a peace and beauty. That’s the only way I know how to explain it, Mom.

Making Music on the Earthly Plane

By the way, true to Erik’s promise, he showed up in blog member, LaurenF’s photo when she requested his appearance. It’s definitely NOT a fleck of dust. Here’s her email and the photo:

Here’s a pic I just took after asking Erik to allow me to take a pic of him.  I got a nice size orb above my window.  I took more after that and got nothing.  I hardly ever see orbs in pics I take at home, so this was kind of cool.  By the way, in the pic, there is a big asymetrical looking block of light on the wall next to the orb with a laser looking flash through it, I thought it was “something”, but that was just a reflection of something.  I tested it out just in case and it showed up in every pic I took, it was just the orb pics that showed up and went away.  You can post if you like.  By the way, that pic was taken in my kids toy room, so please don’t mind the mess!  lol
