Channeling Erik

Sorry for not writing much of a preface here, but it’s been a very hectic workday, and I have to squeeze these transcriptions in whenever I get the chance. Again, you’ll notice I’ve asked Erik some of the same questions through different mediums in an effort to seek a uniform and consistent message. I hope you enjoy.

Channeling Transcript

Me: How do we meet other beings in the afterlife? Does there have to be some sort of connection, or can we meet strangers, too?

Erik: Well, we all have a great big core group of souls that we interact with, you know, the ones we keep going back to the earthly plane with?

Me: Yeah, I get it.

Erik: Now, it doesn’t mean we’re all gonna incarnate together at the same time each lifetime, but…

Kim: That’s obvious, because Erik is there now, Denise is there, Seth is there, and many of my loved ones are over there too.

Erik: Yes, but sometimes we don’t incarnate at all during the lifetime some of the other souls in our group are in.

Me: Uh huh.

Erik: So, we tend to hang out more with our core group in heaven or on the earthly plane and—

Me: Wait, how are these groups formed? What’s the basis for the grouping? Does it have to do with different vibrational energy, or—

Erik: Yes. And those vibrational level, and, um, those levels can run the whole spectrum, across the spectrum. The vibrational levels can run from the very bottom to the very top of the spectrum, so they can be good teachers and students for each other on the earthly plane.

Me: Oh, yeah, yeah! That makes sense.

Erik: And when you come to heaven, you interact with a lot of those same souls from the core.

Me: So they’re not from the same vibrational level? It’s a mix for that reason?

Erik: Yeah.

Me: But why does one mix occur where it could be a mix from, I mean. Oh, how do I explain this? How is it chosen which souls from different parts of the spectrum go into each core group?

Erik: We choose that as souls ourselves. We all start pretty much along the same lines. So, go back to the caveman. We can all be this huge core group of cavemen, and then as time goes on, we’re going back and forth between heaven and the earthly plane, right?

Me: Yeah.

Erik: So some souls progress faster or slower than others. Everyone progresses at different rates, and it’s mostly based on the choices each individual soul makes, how hard that soul is willing to work, how frequently they decide to incarnate, you know?

Me: Ah, yeah, I do.

Erik: It really makes a difference what we choose to do on the earthly plane, how we make use of our time over there.

Me: Okay! Lets see. What kind of work do people do over there, Erik? Of course there are teachers, healers, and—

Kim: In heaven?

Me: Yeah.

Erik: We can choose to do whatever we want. We can choose to landscape, we can choose to be a guardian angel, we can help souls who are just arriving who aren’t happy about being here, uh—

Me: Well since you can travel anywhere by thought, obviously there aren’t any taxi cab drivers, are there?

Erik: Like I said, we can choose anything we want. Say driving a cab was something we really enjoyed on the earthly plane, we might want to do that sort of service over here for people. Maybe some souls like riding around in cabs. We can choose to materialize here and there in the heavenly plane; we can manifest whatever we want, you know, in a moment—

Me: Yeah.

Erik: We can live in whatever environment we choose, do the work that we want, so of course we can conjure up a cab and drive around in it and of course we can hail a cab and ride around in it. Plus, cab drivers here have better attitudes and the ride free!

Me (laughing): I hope they smell better than some of the ones over here!

(Pause)

Me: What do they like to call that place, the afterlife, heaven, the other side, what?

Kim: He’s thinking for a moment and furrowing his brow. He shrugs and says there are lots of names for it and they’re all good, but he prefers to call it “Home.”

Erik: Yeah, and lots of times I’ll call it heaven cuz, especially when I’m taking to you, Mom. I know most readers will understand that name.

Of course now that I’m at the end of the transcription of this segment, I realize that I cut Erik off before he could answer the first question about how we meet other souls, strangers or otherwise! Next time..I promise!

Very fascinating info. I’ve often wondered if some of the lessons we chose in a lifetime are designed to prepare us for a certain function on the other side. For example, a lifetime lesson in compassion to help a soul be a better guardian angel when they cross over. I’m also very curious what we do after we have completed our last lifetime on earth. We never stop growing, so where can we go next to continue that growth, and why go somewhere else? You were so right in earlier postings Elisa, each question always brings a hundred more.

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

I see evidence of that in Erik’s case. I think the hardships in his life prepared him to be a more compassionate and motivated guide to the afterlife for us.

  • Amy

I am so amazed at how much you are doing. Juggling kids,a job, husband, book, computer, mediums, etc. I just don’t know how you fit this all in. You are so awesome and such an inspiration to us all. You keep me going strong every morning. Thank you

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

Aw, how sweet of you to say all these kind things. It is hard, I can’t lie, but I’m a mom who’ll do anything for her kids. Plus, Erik really does the lion’s share of the work!I want to add that I’m the one who should be appreciative to YOU! You’re giving my son the opportunity to fulfill his destiny. And all of you contribute greatly to all of this, and for that, I’m very, very grateful.

  • Skoshi

I was so relieved to read your report the other day of how well Lukas is doing. Thanks for sharing with us, Elisa. I’ve known families (you probably do too) where one child has a major illness, and all family discussions and decisions revolve around the ill child; the other children become mere asterisks, and they’re well aware of it…emotionally injured for life.

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

All four kids are managing, going through what they need to go through. They each know we’re there for them and they have people who are not part of the problem (and therefore not a part of the tragedy) with whom they can talk. It’s not easy and I can see here recently that a couple of the kids are finally starting to break through the numbness. This is the hard part.

    Elisa,

As usual this was such a treat! Thank you and much love! *nina

Very interesting that souls can materialize on any plane, any time they like. I wonder if that is when we see what we call ghosts?

Your questions about the afterlife are very good Elisa, and many thanks to Erik for the answers.

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

Erik says, in a session yet to be transcribed, that there is no difference between ghosts and spirits. They’re one and the same.

  • Denise

“angel, we can help souls who are just arriving who aren’t happy about being here, uh—”

That’s interesting. Why would they be unhappy about being home?

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

Confused, disoriented, regrets about not fulfilling their spiritual contracts, leaving behind their children, spouses, or other loved ones–tons of reasons, I guess. Anyone else have thoughts? Erik told me today that the thing he misses most about the earthly plane is the resistance to touch, like being able to feel a hug physically, and the feeling of food in his mouth. Of course.

  • Skoshi

Being a kid is always challenging, but your children chose an especially hard beginning. It’s so good that they have reliable listening ears and hearts who are there for them. I’m confident that they will deal successfully with these challenges and become incredible adults.

  • M and M

I agree with you Elisa, about why a spirit might feel unhappy about being home. I figure since we put blinders on as humans and can only see what we are used to and through our filters, when a spirit returns home it might be the same for a while. Until ones perspective changes that is. Funny in a way to think that perspective is important over there like it is here. We hear so many times in life that things can be what you want them to be- if only you could change your perspective.

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

So true. And our perspective as humans is sooooo limited. I especially understand that after a session I had this morning with Erik/Jamie. Amazing stuff. Mind bending. Head exploding. You’ll see. Still have 7 hours of transcriptions ahead of it, so we have tons of stuff to look forward to.

  • M and M

Wish I could help you with the transcriptions. That’s a lot of work. Thank you for all you do Elisa. This is a wonderful place to come to every day.

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

No worries. Transcribing them is like therapy because it’s time with my boy.
