I might be wrong, but what I am getting from this is that there are no celebrities in the afterlife, perhaps only people who were really really good in some area of the arts and sciences? Is that what a celebrity on earth would be? Are they celebrated for their music, for their healing work, for their compassion? I said this before, I am still not clear on what we are looking for when we look for celebrities. There is no higher or lesser, as he says. Why do we celebrate certain artists, e.g. James Dean and Michael Jackson instead of others more powerful and possibly effective?

Elisa have you ever asked Erik if Michael Jackson was guilty of the crimes he was accused of here on earth? He was such an unbelievably gifted and sensitive person and i have great sympathy for his childhood but I hate to even think of him without knowing if he abused children.

As far as hierarchies and celebrities, we all know that here it is based on wealth but it is also based on charisma and popularity. I wonder if everyone is charismatic outside of this realm bc everyone has better self-esteem and there isn’t competition? Everyone is accepted and loved? Can souls feel left out? The social aspect of the spirit world is a whole other topic i suppose. That would be weird if there was some kind of West Side Story soul group situation

We’re all part of god on a continuum of learning, so it would be kind of odd to hold one part of ourself as more important or better than another. It reminds me of the Apostle Paul’s discussion in the Bible about one part of the human body not deserving of less honor and love than another.

In “Keepers of the Garden”, Cannon’s subject is a man (in this life) who had been a “god” of a universe; ge misused energy and had to be removed from that position. According to Cannon (and Newton if I recall), we can all make mistakes and need to have experiences to remind us not to do certain things again, no matter how “high” up we go (whatever job we’re privileged to be doing). There are teachers, and teachers of teachers (Erik is teaching, but he has a teacher, and she undoubtedly has a teacher), and councils and advisors to councils, all the way up to gods of universes and even “higher”, but if anyone thinks they’re “high” they’re actually far from it. When Cannon contacts beings like Erik’s teacher, they’re ALWAYS very humble and loving and wise.

Pat, I think you’re entirely right that Source gives us the experiences we need, not necessarily the ones we want. Our perspective is VERY limited. Just imagine an adult 100 years ago who was born, lived life, and died as a member of a tribe of canibals. What he thought was right and wrong versus what someone here thought 100 years ago were quite different. What do we know of the moral values of entities on other planets? We might be considered to be savages by them because we think of ourselves first rather than asking what is best for the greater good, or we would consider war as a valid solution to disputes. If we could know the outcome over time of the things we ask for, we might say, “no, please!” I ALWAYS find that Source gives me better than I can imagine so I’m far better asking for the “highest and best” outcome rather than a specific outcome. For instance, when I was house hunting, I repeatedly found houses I would have bought but asked for the best possible outcome each time, and each time, the deal didn’t work out and a BETTER house at a BETTER price came along. I ended up with a house I never imagined I would have the ability to own. And it was owned before me by a couple who do Reiki, etc.! I think Source said, if this couple isn’t going to have it, we’re going to see that Skoshi gets it, and we’ll give them a good situation in Florida, which is where they’ve ended up for now.

I have repeatedly had that same kind of experience with jobs. I had a good job, my boss retired, and an abusive boss took his place. I moved to a better situation. I would have stayed in that low paying job if I hadn’t been abused. But because of the abuse I ended up with a better job. My new good boss left for a better position; he was replaced by a terrible boss who changed my position to hurt me; he was forced to retire and I’ve been left with a really good job. He though he was hurting me, but he came just as I got VERY sick, and this job allows me to work from home. As an environmental lawyer, the other job was physically taxing. I had to travel all over the country, packing and unpacking heavy suitcases full of files, arriving home to a busy airport late at night, driving on unfamiliar roads all the time, walking around huge facilities all day (one complex was 3,600 acres), sometimes out in the frigid cold or blistering heat. So while I was wishing these bosses would just leave me alone and let me work, I ended up with a job where I make a good contribution to society and I get to work from home, the least physically taxing job possible. I’m glad Source made the decision I needed to move on, or I’d be in the first job at half the pay I get now and physically very ill, if I was still alive!

Concerning Michael Jackson, the following is from the link below which is a message channeled a month after his death (which my guide agrees with):

At the time he was acquitted of those charges, I responded to readers’ doubts about the trial’s outcome: It was a fair and just verdict because Michael was innocent, the accusations against him were false. I also said that all parties involved agreed prior to birth to play their respective roles, but the intensity of stress Michael endured greatly exceeded what he had agreed to experience for the benefit of his accusers’ soul growth. As far as celebrity status goes, my understanding is simply that spirits of the same spiritual level (or vibrational level, if you wish) are all viewed and treated nearly as equals (“nearly” was added by my guide). Spirits of higher and lower spiritual levels don’t or can’t hang around together much if at all so there isn’t much if any reason to view those you do see often as being anything other than equal to you.

And in one of the books by Anthony Borgia the writer (a spirit) mentions Jesus as being at a higher spiritual level than he was at but Jesus (and other highly evolved spirits) was able to give discussions to those on his (lower) level. He didn’t really say much about Jesus himself other than that he’s a normal guy who does a lot of good work teaching and helping people, and that many people look forward to hearing such highly evolved spirits give talks.

(Note that while I use “higher” and “lower” to define different spirits, many spirits tend to be hesitant to define themselves in this way [or as "good," "bad," "evil," etc.] because it implies to us that some are better than others – most spirits aim at being non-judgmental – from that perspective no one is better or worse than anyone else [not Saddam, Osama bin Laden, Hitler, Jesus, the Dalai Lama, etc.] regardless of how spiritually evolved they are or aren’t. The “Conversations with God” series of books [so far I've read the first 2 plus "Home with God"] by Neale Donald Walsch go into some pretty good detail on this.)

this quake has rocked me as well. yesterday a Florida Representative asked me to come to Tallahassee-the capital to participate in his press conference announcing a medical marijuana bill-there were many sick and broken people-while my speech went great-when I got to Jacksonville, I just lost it, and an empath I downloaded to many peoples stories and while I am so hopeful about the future-I really realize I must be careful-I got tired and my usual laws of selection were not in good working order-dont get me wrong-I welcome these new friends into my life I just wasnt prepared for how emotional it would be

I believe it was Alfine who asked me to recommend some books? A couple of these aren’t directly on the topic of healing but they made such an impact on me that I figured I might as well write down their titles while I was skimming the bookshelves. “You Already Know What to Do: 10 Invitations to the Intuitive Life” by Sharon Franquemont is absolutely jaw dropping. It has exercises you do each day, and I was new at this stuff when I read it, and it was positively eye-opening.

“Mind of Clear Light” by the Dalai Lama is about how you know when you’re about to die, how to prepare for death and an explanation of the Tibetan Book of the Dead. It can be heavy reading but has gems that make it worth wading through. I read it right after my second open heart surgery. I had perecarditis and died 4X awaiting that surgery, and I had ALL 8 signs he sets forth in the book of how you know you have only a year or two before you cross.

Any of Caroline Myss’s books on Intuition and Healing are worthwhile. Her “Why People Don’t Heal and How You Can” was a #1 best seller; my MD/acupuncturist in NY recommended it. Myss recommends Karen Grace Kassy’s book “Health Intuition: a Simple Guide to Greater Well-Being” as one of the finest books she’s ever read.

Joan Borysenko’s books are often recommended to me by my guides. She wrote “Minding the Body, Mending the Mind.” She is an internationally recognized intuitive healer. Myss of course works with doctors all over the world. She can “read” people by phone as though she’s a doctor looking at X-rays and test results.

My guides have often recommended “Feelings Buried Alive Never Die” by Karol Truman. It is about how different problems come out in different parts of bodies.

Pema Chodron is an elderly Buddhist Nun who heads a monastery. Her web site is terrific if you google her. She is a joy to read and listen to. I have an extra set of one of her CDs if anyone wants them; just ask Elisa to give you my email address and send me your address and I’ll send them. I loved her “The Places that Scare You; a Guide to Fearlessless in Difficult Times” so much that when I lent it to someone and she didn’t return it, I bought another one.

Chakra/aura books: Any of Paula Horan’s books; they’re good for beginners. “Using Your Chakras; a New Approach to Healing Your Life” by Ruth White. “Your Auras and Your Chakras: The Owner’s Manual” by Karla McLaren. For advanced Reiki practitioners: Bruce Bevell’s “Reiki for Spiritual Healing”.

Do try Sharon Franquemont’s book. You won’t believe how powerful those exercises are.
