Channeling Erik

Since Erik’s death, my second eldest daughter has felt a bit dejected and frustrated, because she has not experienced the same spiritual visitations from him as some other family members have. I understand her despondency, because she and Erik were extremely close. Not only did they have a lot of fun together, they also got into a lot of trouble together. Not serious trouble, but trouble none the less. Let’s just say they were cohorts in crime.

Last night, however, the sense of alienation Michelle has experienced all these many months came to an end with a wonderful dream. Instead of her usual dreamless nights, Michelle had her first vivid one…a meeting with Erik. In her dream, she was peering out of Lukas’s bedroom door into the game room where she saw Erik sitting on one of the sofas. His head was tilted back, his eyes were open, and he seemed to be in a state of peaceful relaxation, absorbed in his own thoughts.

Overjoyed, Michelle bolted into the room and stopped right in front of him, shouting, “Erik, you’re here!” She knew he had died and didn’t harbor any delusions that that had changed, but she was just so happy to see him.

Erik responded with a startled look of disbelief, then said, “Michelle, you can see me?”

Michelle said, “Yes, I can see you!” and with that, Erik stood up abruptly and wrapped his arms around her in a warm embrace. He felt so real, so solid.

Erik has said many times that he hangs out at the house a lot. It doesn’t surprise me that he was relaxing on the sofa, given how busy he’s been lately. And how nice to know that his noble efforts to help so many has been rewarded with a sister’s love.  How nice to know that Michelle enjoyed the end of a long and lonely dry spell.

    :)
Your family is very beautiful. Elisa, you write so well. You could take 6 months of this blog and put covers on it and it’d be a best seller! I’m serious. For a few weeks now, my life has brightened because of you. Wish you could feel it. PS, when I was in Oregon I found a huge bookstore with used books. I bought Saved By The Light by Dannion Brinkley in paperback (was a bestseller in 1995). Read it in an hour or so. A lot like Embraced By The Light. Very comforting. I could send it to you—I’m done with it–you can keep. It was a good Oceanside read with the beautiful waves and all God’s nature blessings. I must have been too busy in 1995 to notice who he was back then. Now it’s relevant. Wonder if Erik had same things happen. Lots of love– Donna in the tub :) ha

Aw, so sweet Donna! My life has brightened because of you! And I can feel your love, hope you can feel mine.
I’ll try to hunt the book down here. Do you think it’s still in print? xo A very clean Elisa with white wrinkly palms and soles. ;-)

I reread the posting about energy this morning, and again was struck by Erik using the term “zero point.” It reminds me of Joe Vitale’s book “zerolimits: the Secret Hawaiian System for Wealth, Health, Peace and More.” My Reiki Master mentioned it in a session with me and I was really drawn to the message of our being able to have a positive impact on universal peace. We only really have insight into parts of our current lives, because of the spiritual amnesia we go through in coming back. The system Vitale describes deals with issues from others’ lives and our previous and current lifetimes. It tells of Dr. Len’s amazing work with the criminally insane. The book is an easy, short read. The system allows us to get “back to zero” where we think and act outside the box. I’m so happy for Michelle that she had the “outside the box” “zero limits” experience of Erik’s visit.

Wow, Skoshi, you would LOVE “The Biology of Belief!” I’m almost finished with it and can send it to you. When I read it every night, I think about you and what you’ve taught me about Reiki, healing with energy, etc. It’s written by a cell biologist. As a physician, I’ve been a little lonely amongst my colleagues who think pills and procedures are the answer. Belief, energy is what heals us. Belief affects DNA and therefore the cell and therefore the being and therefore the universe.

I have two wonderful brothers and I can only imagine how I would feel if one of them had passed to another plane and I got to see and feel him again. Michelle must be walking on air! What a wonderful way to end the week. YAY Michelle and YAY Erik! Clearly there has been sone sort of breakthrough!

Hi Elisa, I mentioned Dannion Brinkley to you. Don’t know if you remember. Glad someone else did. He worked with Raymond Moody. Remember I mentioned him too? When you have time you could look them up in wikipedia, then you would feel less lonely. Weiss is a Psychiatrist and Moody is a Psych as well as MD-

And now Michelle feels less lonely with opening to Erik-beautiful.

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

Aw THAT’S why his name seemed soooo familiar to me, Danielle!

  • Danielle Notaro

I also mentioned Brian Weiss to you. That’s the third guy I meant in my previous post

I would really appreciate that book, Elisa. I love science and the way it supports the way things really function. Physics, chemistry, human AND animal biology all work in harmony with what Newton, Cannon, and Erik have told us, and I’ve experienced with Reiki and having died and revived. The Dalai Lama has said where religion and science clash, religion must give way. He’s written a fascinating book about physics and Buddhism. As a hospice worker I saw wonderful things, and when I had hospice training, they said all hospice workers have experiences with their dying patients that have no “commonplace” explanations. I think Reiki will be a great support for you. You might enjoy hearing about my first Reiki experience. I had no idea at that time what Reiki was or what the treatment was that I was receiving. I have heart birth defects, asthma, chemical sensitivities and drug allergies. My pulmonologist and allergists said there was nothing that could be done for me (asthma meds make my heart race); better do what I can with diet and exercise. Years earlier I’d gone to an MD who does acupuncture because I had carpal tunnel, bursitis and tendonitis, and he cured them with acupuncture. I had moved to Maryland and went to another MD (now retired) who does acupuncture. I asked her to do acupuncture for my allergies, and she said, I have a man in the office who specializes in allergies. She sent me to Robert Clickner, who now practices in Charlottesville, VA. He did Reiki on my face. He would just put on Nitrile gloves and touch the inside roof of my mouth and my cheekbones, etc. At that time I had a nightguard because I used to grind my teeth in my sleep. When Bob would touch me, I’d feel a gentle, pleasant stretching feeling in my mouth, and it would continue till the next treatment. At the end of six weeks, he said my facial bones had all been seized up because of repeated blows (it’s a long story), and now they moved the way they should; he could accomplish a little more, but he thought I was 96% “there” and didn’t need any more treatments. I told him how my mouth had changed. It was always VERY narrow and my smile only showed my front 4 top teeth. My mouth had expanded, and the nightguard no longer fit because my jaw was wider and you could now see 6 top teeth when I smiled; I suggested he try to get my case written up in a medical journal, because I had the dentist-made guard as proof of what Reiki’d done. He said, “that’s nothing; there’s a woman in CA who is curing birth defects in utero with Reiki.” He also laughed and said he’d had thousands of dollars worth of orthodonture as a teen, and if it turned out his infant son should need braces some day, he’d try Reiki first. I recently treated a case of very bad poison ivy on my dog’s stomach with Reiki. It was blistered and red, and after the treatment it was gone. GONE! In a dog. No placebo effect. I’ve seen and experienced “miracles” many times now, but it never fails to amaze me.

I totally know what you mean, Skoshi. I’ve seen spontaneous remissions, etc. The people who “know” they’re going to overcome their cancer often do.

  • skoshi

PS I can appreciate what you’ve said about the medical profession. As an environmental lawyer, my career is entirely separate from my “life’s work”…the most important part of what I do. Most of my colleagues would be horrified to know I do Reiki and believe we can call upon Universal energy to support healing and other kind acts. I’m glad to see that more and more people are getting into meditating and yoga. AND I’m very grateful for your web site/blog. We need all the light we can get. We’re all here to support you. I’m sure when Erik and our guides look down at the earth, they see lights all over the globe, and those are US.

Skoshi, sing it sista! Hallelujah!!!!!! ;-)

  • Danielle Notaro

Also meant to tell you-the actor Eric Roberts was in a made for tv adaptation from the book Saved By The Light in 1995.

    sleep tight xo

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

I’m definitely going to check that out Danielle. What does your weekend look like?

  • Danielle Notaro

Why? We going swimming? I don’t really know. trying to hang on to my sanity. How bout you?

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

It’s hot as Hades here so yeah, you’re on. I’m actually going to ride horses with my nephews and the fam. My nephews are here from Norway visiting the U.S for the first time. Huge culture shock for them coming from a tiny village in Norway. Add Texas culture to that and, well, they’ll never be the same. But I’ll swim if you do. And you know what I’d love for you to try, just as an experiment? Find a complete stranger and do something awesome to make their lives better. I say this because I find this increases my energy a lot. For instance, last Christmas, when I went grocery shopping, I stopped in front of the Salvation Army guy while he was ringing his little bell and saying Merry Christmas to everyone and said, “You know, I can tell you are a wonderful soul.” Then I gave him a big hug. He melted. It really affected him. Another fun experiment: when I go through the drive through at McDonald’s {please don’t judge me ;-) } I try to make REAL eye contact while I say thank you and take my food and drink. It’s weird. I feel a connection. They pause and react, totally poleaxed. Usually, we just point our eyes at people but don’t really LOOK at them–we don’t connect soul to soul with our eyes. So that’s our homework this weekend–to change someone’s life for the better. Let’s report back with our results. This goes for all willing readers, by the way. It seems like love makes the giver and the recipient thrive, so…

      Night nigh, Danielle.

  • Danielle Notaro

Can’t sleep. So here I am. Um, not to be boastful, um, I do lots of sweet thangs for strangers. And make eye contact with the kids at McD’s or Taco Bell. I think because of the particular approach to acting I learned-it’s about being authentic. I come from my essence and connect with folks to their essence. I listen to my body/heart mind for the most part and am pretty good at sensing my own and other’s boundaries. I will keep your reminder with me. Have fun with your nephew’s and I hope they too make the most of their visit.

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

You nailed it, Danielle! Essence to essence! You’re so highly evolved. How wonderful to know you. I’m wondering what you think about the answer to Julie’s question. Maybe you’re a teacher surrounded by students? What do you think?

      Get some rest, sweet girl!

  • Danielle Notaro

Yes. The answer to Julie’s question resonated with me. I read a long time ago that in most cases the student leaves the teacher.

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

Danielle, when I was transcribing it, I thought of you. I think you’re a teacher surrounded by students too.

  • Danielle Notaro

    Aww, aren’t you sweet.

Painter and Teacher Michele Cassou is the author of Point Zero Painting, Creativity Without Limits.

    http://www.michelecassou.com/BookTapes.htm

“She shows us how, by coming face to face with the energy that creates our blocks, we can return to Point Zero, the ground from which pure creation springs. In this place of infinite possibility, art becomes not a means to an end but a way of being that will guide us to an understanding of the spiritual mystery of our lives.”

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

I LOVE MICHELE CASSOU!! (Plus I love you too, Teri) (She’s my sister. The older one…HA!!) (LOL)
