Victor Zammit’s website is one of my favorites. I subscribe to his Friday Afterlife Report to receive comforting evidence for life after death as well as other insightful information. This week’s report contained a list of those signs and symptoms we will all hopefully enjoy, if not now, soon.

SYMPTOMS OF INNER PEACE
Some signs and symptoms of inner peace:
• A tendency to think and act spontaneously rather than on fears based on past experiences.
• An unmistakable ability to enjoy each moment.
• A loss of interest in judging other people.
• A loss of interest in interpreting the actions of others.
• A loss of interest in conflict.
• A loss of the ability to worry. (This is a very serious symptom).
• Frequent, overwhelming episodes of appreciation.
• Contented feelings of connectedness with others and nature.
• Frequent attacks of smiling.
• An increasing tendency to let things happen rather than make them happen.
• An increased susceptibility to the love extended by others as well as the uncontrollable urge to extend it.

I encourage you all to subscribe to Victor’s site which I have listed in my links section, and friend him on Facebook! He’s both brilliant and sweet.

How does this kind of mindset spur anyone to push for change? If everyone walked around in denial and in la la land all the time, how would we motivate people to fix problems in society, to vote, etc? I get what this is saying but is it really better to put your head in the sand while a few could be burning your house down while you’re in self absorbed bliss? Just thoughts for discussion.

I don’t think inner peace blocks you from dealing with problems. I think you just don’t have the emotional turmoil surrounding them. If that’s the case, it’d be easier to find solutions.

In the rare moments that I simultaneously feel several of those symptoms I can honestly say that it is cyrstal clear that love is all that matters. If only those moments lasted longer lol

Of course we are suppose to live and not put our head in the sand. But letting go of negativity is not putting your head in the sand.

I think if we stop feeding the corruption/drama/fear-mongering and replace it with love, respect and trust there will be change. Recognizing the reason we are here and moving towards “learning” the real lessons is not living in denial or la-la land, but the polar opposite.

Wow, I sound so earthy and out there. Maybe Ill go hug a tree :)

I think that it is more of your reaction to the fight-I have been caught up in some causes where I just got to caught up in the cause where my passion transformed into hate-

Self absorbed bliss is not the same thing as inner peace.

With growth of consciousness or awareness the actions described above are spontaneous and effortless; as is nature support and right action. It is when you see these characteristics in yourself you know you are on the right track. Until a higher state of consciousness is established permanently they can come and go. And I agree that along the way the reduction of inner turmoil aids in clear thinking.

It is so true for me! When I was in college I used to meditated daily – one day I left my body and went to the other side, to my big surprise. I thought you could only do that in near death experiences. It was amazing, the peace, the love and the joy that I felt was beyond words – so were the colors. My first OBE (that I can remember clearly) was when I was 10 and I flew around my home town – it was awesome! This experience was different in that I was in another dimension. A being (looked like an alien) spoke to me telepathically and I visited an art gallery and saw “human”beings. It was a fantastic gift!

About a decade ago I was experiencing a lot of family drama. I made a decision, “no more”. I wanted to have the experience I had of being on the other side here on the physical plane. I started to forgive, moved, meditated and connected with nature even more. I started my path on bettering myself through books, CDs and courses. Now I find myself, more and more experiencing a space that describes inner peace (above). I am able to be! Many comments on our home: how peaceful it is – how they can be themselves (no judgments) and they can just be. When I live in peace, I am able to respond from my heart more and less reactive ego actions. I still have work to do and also find myself getting sucked in on what I call the “ego” level. My awareness is growing and I realize quicker I have a choice when I do fall into the mud of the lower vibration. I find myself loving life more and more, and also connecting with my true self. Creating Heaven on Earth!

    Love,

    Madeline

@ Steve: You da man, bro, YOU BE DA MAN. Every coin can be flipped over and sometimes it needs to be. You did!

When I read your post I imagined a cartoon character brushing his teeth in a flaming bathroom!

    Hey Patrick,

I guess there is balance in everything, right? Inner peace along with an awareness grounded in reality.

I’m just not quite 100% aligned with this Victor Gammit guy. Some of the stuff he posts is a little hard to buy into (there is so much fraud in the paranormal world).

I think we need to be discerning with all of this stuff. The information is great but to blindly accept anything that is New Age can be a little dangerous.

There, I’m done with my rant.

    Hello,

I don’t think it’s so much as sticking your head in the sand, but in a calm state you can come up with solutions that most likely wouldn’t be seen when angry or upset. Boy, ain’t that the truth. Although I should do it more often, I find when I meditate and clear away my anger and upset, a solution will come to me (thanks to my guides), and if there is no solution and it’s something I just have to go through, I choose to at least go through it as calm as possible. Now that I am done moving for the most part, I have decent time to meditate again. Hard to meditate when you fall asleep 10 minutes into it…lol. But even as Erik shared, meditation is important. :)
