For many of us who have lost a loved ones, Sundays aren’t easy. The errands are done. The house is quiet. The mind is idle, opening a door to let the sadness slink back in. I understand this all too well. So, because I love you all so dearly, let me offer you a ray of hope to lift your spirits with this video, courtesy of Sandra Champlain, .

I used to enjoy going to church, singing songs, the message the pastor would give, but now it just all makes me cry. I can’t do it. I love the hum drum of the house work, cleaning, laundry, the repetition. I wonder if it’s because I can go on autopilot, but the kids play around me. I take little breaks and we laugh. It’s a good life for me on Sunday’s because I don’t work. I supposed if I worked it would keep me busy, but for someone who hasn’t worked in 13 years it’s a source of anxiety for me. During the week is hard when the kids are gone though, similar thing, not alot to do, too quite sometimes.

I love the link Elisa, thank you for posting it again. Hugs♥

Sundays are the very hardest…and here i thought it was only me who struggled thru Sundays. It is getting a bit easier than a year ago, and I do wear something of his every Sunday..makes me feel closer to him. Also post on his facebook page, as I know he reads them.
The video is beautiful..and the thoughts and knowing he is still here is what keeps me going.
Happy Sunday to you all…wishing you a big basket of peace and restfulness. xoxoxo

This song just says it right. No matter what hurt you have, Sunday is when it finds a way to catch you.

Sundays during the NFL season has always been about watching or attending Jets games. I had a totally mystical experience involving my Dad two years ago before a game, and my sister had one during a game, but the point I wanted to make is that whether it’s a Football Sunday or a Yankee baseball Sunday, I can always feel and hear my Dad around. Sad? Yes, but I’m also aware he’s here and that’s a huge comfort, of course.
Elisa, I hope your father is recovering. I meant to ask you his first name?

Your dad must be a real sports fan! My dad is doing better, at least as of last night. Headed over there soon to check on him. His first name is Jose. XOXO
