Channeling Erik

Erik’s been busy visiting some of the blog readers. Randi can attest to this.

Randi’s email

Hi Elisa!

I hope all is well! I have a little story I wanted to share with you …

As you know, I have been working on my channeling and talking to Erik a lot. I’m still having trouble distinguishing between my own thoughts and those of spirit guides, but I keep trying. A few months ago, as I was walking my dog through San Francisco, I was overcome with the smell of roses and perfume. This was odd because a.) I have no sense of smell at all and b.) I was nowhere near any one person or any roses. The smell lingered for a few minutes before disappearing. During my reading with Felix last fall, he connected with my grandmother quite a bit and mentioned this smell when she was present – she LOVED roses (something I didn’t even know until talking to my parents after the reading), so this makes sense. When I smelled that a few months ago, I assumed it was my grandmother, smiled, said hi, and kept walking.

Well ….

Last week/weekend I was in Massachusetts visiting my family. I was sitting in the living room alone on Thursday, reading a book with my feet up when I was overcome with the smell of marijuana. I thought my nose was playing tricks on me; I frequently smell this when walking through SF (for obvious reasons!), but there was no reason I should randomly experience it when sitting in my parents house. I was really confused. The smell wouldn’t go away. I decided to go on a search to try to find the source and didn’t have any luck. After about 10 minutes, I gave up. It disappeared for a while and then came back. I went through the same drill of trying to locate it. Then something in my mind clicked: I remembered a blog post you wrote a while back about how Erik came to you with that smell. I have to wonder if maybe the smell was him. I like to think it was and it was him telling me that he’s listening and talking to me, even if I don’t realize it. Of course, there’s no way of knowing for sure, but I thought you’d like to know all the same. :) It brought a big smile to my face!

xoxo,

Randi

My Response

How awesome! I’m going to ask him in my next channeling session. Hopefully he hasn’t gotten your grandmother into any illicit activity over there. Maybe she’s branching out in her gardening! (just kidding) It could be Erik, because he comes to us with marijuana smells and really really horrible dirty sock smells. I might need your grandma to come here with some of her rose scent!

Love you, Baby Girl!

Elisa

Randi’s Response

Yes, I would love for you to ask him! I didn’t even think about that! Let me know what he says for sure. :)

And, for the record, I think my grandmother would be the bad influence in that scenario. She was an “interesting” person to say the least! Haha. :)

My Response

Randi I asked and yes it was him. I’m posting the audio file as soon as I get the cassette and convert it digitally. I tried a different medium Jeannie Barnes and she doesn’t record to CD. I tried her b/c she’s only $80/hr and I want to find more affordable options in case you all want to have your own sessions. I thought she was amazing. I asked Erik why he visited you, was there a purpose or a message he wanted to give you and he said no. He just loves how he can travel so freely and visit the readers. He gets “a big kick out of it.” but he says his guides tell him he needs to stop playing around so much and focus on his work, including visiting for a purpose. Busted! He was like that while here: fun first, work later!

Randi’s Reponse

That’s so exciting! And I’m really happy to hear Erik feels a connection with me and wants to visit, as I feel connected to him! Seriously, though, what a funny kid. :)

You can most certainly use my name, e-mails, etc.

I’m glad you really liked the new medium! I know these visits get really expensive – I am trying someone new on Saturday who came recommended and is half the price of Felix. My friend has been using her for years and swears by her. She does phone readings, so I’ll let you know what I think!

xoxo,
Randi

Given Randi’s story, keep a light in the window for Erik. You may be next, you lucky stiff!

That is an interesting idea you guys – Elisa have you thought of it for the book? I know you’ve used 2 mediums but wouldn’t it be interesting to research Erik’s material from many different mediums? To get a larger perspective of where it all connects?

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

Oh yes, I plan too! I already have three sources and plan a fourth in August!

  • Donna

Funny story!! I’m going to ask him to do that for me :)
I’d love that. I love it when 2 different mediums say some of the same things. $80/hr is doable for me so if you can share her info, that’d be great. I wanted to tell you I was told by Kathleen Tucci (medium from Dallas) to read Many Lives, Many Masters by Dr. Brian Weiss written over 15 years ago. I looked for it on and off and had it reserved at the library. I’d forgotten, and the other day it popped out to me at a thrift store. OH MY GOSH you must must must read this book. I couldn’t wait to pick it back up after I slept. It’s in paperback and a page turner. Gave my husband and I a lot to talk about tonight on our walk. He hasn’t read it but I was telling him all about it. He’s a doctor MD like you, but a psychiatrist. Great personality like you and wanted to help others like you—but had concerns about what he learned and how it’d be received by his colleagues. You may have read it. Please let me know what you think when/if you read it. God Bless you and all your followers. I’m so grateful you have brought us all together from all over the world. Thank you, too for your suggestions to me for my daughter. Love, Donna in So. Cal

Oh, Donna I have that book and it IS the greatest. Life changing page turner. A must read for anyone with an interest in all things spiritual. In the book, Your Eternal Self, the author talks about physicians like your husband and I. He says more doctors believe in these things than we think, but most of them are afraid of what their colleagues might think. Many doctors who deal in terminal illness claim to have seen deceased loved one surrounding a dying patient, wisps of mist leaving the body at death, and other phenomenon. Hopefully, the quantum science behind it will help us come out of the closet, because just imagine how that would positively affect our approach to our patients!

Be careful what you wish for, girl. If you are unfortunate enough to draw the stinky sock smell…well, I apologize in advance.

You tried Jeannie and liked her, Elisa! I’m so excited!!
Her reading for me this spring was dead on for this summer EXCEPT she said I’d be meeting a long term relationship and alas, that has not happened yet. Kim points me to next summer. Maybe Jeannie’s timing was off with that.
But even so, I’m so glad Erik came through via her. I’m going to have to reach out to her to get some communication going with my deceased mother.

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

I already said something about timing to you in an email, but I’ll put it in a comment too so other readers will know. In my limited experience with mediums, timing is probably one of the most difficult challenges. Kim is often off on her timing but she seems to be highly accurate in the events themselves. I’m not sure why this is so difficult, but I have a sneaking suspicion it has to do with meshing the timelessness of the other dimension with the human construct of time on the earthly plane. Maybe we create time as linear because we have a beginning, we go through a sequence of experiences and we have an end. Again, what if time has no beginning or end? What if it occurs radially with past, present and future occurring simultaneously? Maybe there is time on the other side, but not the same linear time we have here. Gotta stop. Brain hurts.

I’ve never blogged before, so excuse me for coming in as a “Reply”, I couldn’t figure out how else to get in.

I’ve had a lot of amazing visits with mediums since the love of my life died, but I have a question that I haven’t felt comfortable asking them. Even though my soul mate is in heaven and I am still here as a human, I feel the same connection to him that we had when he was alive. I don’t mean that I have a channeling connection, in fact quite the opposite is true, I don’t even experience visitations with him that I am aware of. I feel connected to him with a sense that our relationship will pick up where it left off when I get to heaven. I have spent my time here on earth being very mindful that the purpose and goal is to leave here with a more evolved soul. Over the past couple of years, I have felt content with where my soul has evolved to. I feel ready to move on. I am not talking about suicide, rather the natural course of “graduating” this life experience. I am wondering if Erik might have any insight into my “content” feeling, is it actually what I believe it to be, could I be fully evolved for this part of my soul’s journey?

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

Hey Andrea! I’m so glad you’ve joined our family. And I’m awed, once again, to be in the company of an obviously highly enlightened soul like you. In my experience, Erik would probably have to defer to your guides for this question, and I can ask him to get the information and try to bring it forward to you. Here’s what I bet is going on. You may be fully evolved or very close to it. Several fully evolved souls are chosen as guardian angels on the earthly plane and I bet you are one. Some are famous: Mother Teresa, Ghandi, etc., but others are quietly doing their work in a near anonymous manner.

Death is not a boundary. Love transcends it easily as it has for my son and me. This is probably why the love of your life, your soulmate, and you still have a relationship. I’ve also seen pairings where one soulmate is deceased and assists his or her counterpart on the earthly plane. (See Jodi’s Question)

SInce I’ve temporarily suspended the Ask Erik page until I catch up with all the questions, you might want to make an appointment with Jeannie Barnes. She charges only $80 and hour and will put you in direct touch with both your loved one and your guardian angel who’s been with you from birth. She speaks word for word what they say, which I always prefer to paraphrasing. I think her site is http://www.angelicchanneler.com. You can google Jeannie Barnes psychic, too. I’m going to post the audio file of my session with her as soon as she sends me the tape and I convert it to an mp3 file.

I’m so glad you’re in our lives now, Andrea. Love you!

  • Randi

    Elisa,

I’m glad you shared my story! Hopefully more people will be in tune to when Erik pays them visits now. :) He’s such a cool kid. xoxo

  • Danielle Notaro

Ohh Good! You got the Weiss book. Incredible, huh?

  • Donna B

You are so funny. My husband is a Ph.D., not an M.D., although he wishes he would have gone that direction :) He just rolls his eyes at me and all my books, beliefs, etc. One day I will get him to see it my way. Probably when I die and do all kinds of stuff to him. hahahahaha
When my brother died of cancer, his wife later told me that right before he died, he seemed to get a second wind (which at the end of leukemia, is not an easy thing)and told his wife to “Tell those angels to leave me alone.” The funny part about this is that my brother was not a Christian as far as we all knew. He was probably agnostic. Him saying that was completely his personality until the very end. That gave me such comfort, because of how he was. Pretty neat, huh? My mother also had a near death experience when I was 5 years old and she was 45. I was her “baby” late in life after she had raised her kids. She had her appendix burst and she told people later that she saw her mother and sister across a stream waving her over and she said she couldn’t leave me because I was still so young. She lived to be 82 and died 2 years ago. I pray that they are all at that same stream waiting for me someday.

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

You have a sneaky streak, girl! I read about some couple that set up some sort of signal if one of them died, to let the other one know if there was life after death. I can’t remember the specifics but one died and his or her best friend was constantly tormented by some phrase like “pink marshmallows” or something similar. She confided this with the other spouse who gasps and said, “My God, that was the secret code!” So you go girl. I’m glad you have some sort of comfort from your brother and your mother. I bet they’re both waiting for you by that beautiful stream.

  • Jeff

That’s a great story, funny how he chooses to be noticed! Often times Erik will pop into my head out of nowhere and it makes me wonder if he’s popping by to say hello, don’t think I would notice the pot smell in my place though. But be sure to let him know he’s welcome to come by and smoke pot with me anytime!

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

Jeff! You’re funny!!!! (Did I already tell you you’re the next one on the list? I think the session is 8/9/10

  • Barbara

    Dear Elisa,

This is a short experience but sweet. I was working on our lanai yesterday and had accidentally let a dragonfly in. When I saw it flying frantically I just looked up and said “Okay, Eric, maybe you, Jacquie and Tracy could shoo him out for me. I will feel terrible if he dies.” So I propped open the door and waited about two minutes whispering to it and them. Lo and behold, it flew right out the door. Coincidence? Maybe, but dragonflies aren’t all that smart and our screen house is very large–more often they die and I suffer guilt over it. Thanks so much Eric and ladies!

    Barbara

      Cool!

  • Jeff

    No, I didn’t know that, I can’t wait! And thanks again :)

  • Christine Aros

Would love to have a chat with Erik…love to banter with him..^:^

  • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

Careful what you wish for Christine, because he loves to visit! Have you listened to the videos and/or audios of his voice so you can recognize him when he does? If you have trouble locating those in the blog, let me know and I’ll email them to you directly.

  • Christine

    YELLOW BUBBLES!

    I read it too!
