Channeling Erik

Today, as I was driving to San Antonio, my youngest called in tears to tell me that our miniature pinscher, Penny, was dying. Beginning at 8 years old, Penny suffered from severe cervical disc disease that was considered inoperable by the neurosurgeon. Over the last several years, she started having an occasional seizure, but starting last night, they had become more frequent. Eighty-four miles into my trip, I called to reschedule my patients and turned around to go back h0me to comfort Lukas, Annika and Penny. Along the way, I thought about the synchronicity in regards to my last post on animal souls and the fact that the kids have late arrival at school today. The Universe is perfect: aware, conscious, living and loving.

When I arrived home, it was clear that little Penny was not going to make it. She was suffering. We took her to the vet to put her down and release her from misery. Her last moments were showered with tears, kisses, hugs and our encouragement for her to leave this earthly plane. Though I dearly miss her already, I know now that Erik has a new friend to play with. Penny is free from pain and limitations. She and Zoe and Erik are frolicking in flower-blanketed fields. R.I.P. darling puppy.

Spirit Contact Reading:

Erik Medhus – who passed away on October 6, 2009

As I come into this vibration I am with a very young man who is very upbeat and happy with his current life situation; he has a very beautiful smile; when I ask what his message is for you today, he says, “not all people understand that we all choose our birth and choose our death before we are even born into our earth life; we do forget the choice however once we become a part of the earth life; some of us however never fully engaged with the earth and stayed one with our own spirit in order to go through the adversities of the earth plane that we chose to bring forth as a teaching tool for others; even as an old soul it sometimes is difficult to watch how people treat one another on the earth plane, but now I go forward to learn new things and prepare for another opportunity to come to the earth with even greater lessons for others; it is the work of the spirit to bring, to facilitate, to share life’s lessons with others less knowing; we see that you are working very hard to do this also in your earth life, and we thank you………”

Wonderful words Erik. Thank you for sharing Pamla. Elisa, I just saw Erik with Penny. Jumping up and around him. He picked her up and is holding, with much face licking! It was in the void, like I told you before, no flowers yet, but I am sure the fields are waiting. You should ask him who in the family will take her in till you all get there. :) I am sure Penny will not rest in peace, but in rambunctious fun, play time and joy! The love coming off that image is very strong.

Aw, thanks Jason. This means so much to me and my family.

Dearest Penny….It hurts my heart to know you had to go, but now you are no longer suffering sweetheart. When I saw you last week, I sensed your time was short, but I’m taken aback at just how soon it would be. You were so chipper and affectionate as you approached me by the pool, excited at the arrival of the newest family friend. I will so miss seeing your sweet face little one. I know you’ll be sorely missed, but you were deeply loved while alive and will continue to be loved after your passing.

Elisa, and family…All my love and support go to you in this time of grief. My heart sobs with each of you.

      I’m grateful she’s at peace.

Oh Elisa, I am so sorry to hear about Penny. Losing a furry family member is always difficult, especially as a child. I am so happy though that everyone can rest assured that Penny is now pain free and with Erik. He is undoubtedly overjoyed to see her little face.

    Oh Elisa,
I am so sad to see this post about Penny and your family. I know how hard it is to loose a pet and how terribly hard it is to put them down. Although we all know it is the right thing to do it is still a very difficult time for everyone. I am quite certain Erik and Zoe were there to greet her when her little doggie soul arrived. Love to your family.

    Hey Elisa,

I’m sending healing vibes your way. Penny is definitely in a better space, and rest assured you and the fam will see her again one day.

You may have already covered this topic but if not, put this on your list of questions for Erik: Do animals reincarnate to humans and vice-versa?

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

Yes, I’ve asked that and they don’t. Humans can’t become other animals either.

I sorry to read of the loss of your family pet =( Pets have a way of working their way into your heart and soul even and making our world a better and happier place. Nothing really can truly replicate the unconditional love and companionship that pets offer, especially doggies.
I am sorry that you had to go penny, but I am sure you are happier being free of the pain you experienced in your physical form.
please know that you are loved and missed, and remember all the happiness that you brought forth. =)

God bless your family. From one dog lover to another…I’m so very sorry. My boy is at the end, too. Any day now :( It is so hard because we love them and they make us so happy. Thank God we know where they really are and that they are free from pain. I feel bad for your family, though. It hurts. Love, Donna

Penny is free and happy and with Erik. It’s all good. Hard for us, but wonderful for her and that’s all that matters.

Elisa, So sorry about penny. Sending my love and prayers for your family. Peace and Blessings ♥

    Dearest Elisa,
So sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved Penny; I am an ‘animal lover’ and have deeply mourned the loss of my furry, feathered and finned friends as much as the two legged loved ones that I’ve loved and lost in this world. ‘Critters’ do have souls too, as any of us who have ever been lucky enough to have been blessed with their unconditional and pure love can attest. Glad to know that Penny is with one of her ‘boys’ and is waiting to greet the rest of her family when their time comes with lots of kisses and tail wags. Much peace and love to all.

Sorry your family won’t be able to love Penny in person any more, Elisa. This is such a huge loss to a child.

I’ve had a number of animal and plant experiences since the post the other day too. I do Reiki on animals and plants and have seen some incredible things. When you do Reiki on them, you will telepathically get a name. Yes, even for plants. My guides say the names resonate with the animals/plants’ vibration, just as they do with humans. I was told that a rhododendron was “Caroline”. It was dying and was healed. The rhododendron about 5′ away from that one that I hadn’t noticed died!

Long before science acknowledged it, people realized pets love their people. When my mother was a young woman, she had a cat. She moved to an apartment where she could not keep a pet, and gave the cat to her mother. My grandmother did all she could, even trying to get the cat to eat canned tuna, and the cat refused to eat. It died of a broken heart, missing my mother. Pets don’t just live selfishly with us for what we give them; they care for us. My dogs want to be loved and acknowledged when I get home, before they will eat. I’m sure we’ve all had similar experiences. Scientists used to say it was just people anthropomorphizing their pets, but know they’re learning that isn’t so. And for centuries people have written about their horses’ valor in battle and unusual experiences with horses giving their lives for people.

We could learn so much from animals about courage, selflessness and unconditional love.

We really hope Penny will be in the most beautiful heaven giving good company to dear Erik— also thanks to Pamla for her reading about Erik in His real home- rgds-

Elisa, every day I look at my sweet little girl Dalmation, who is 10, and sleeping more and more, and I know my physical days with her are numbered and I often get so sad.

I also just lost my boy Dalmation a few months ago. I feel for your loss. Losing a pet is SO hard. Dogs are wonderful teachers for us, and they give unconditional love.

I am looking forward to hearing about Erik with Penny, and I hope Erik can share with us what really happens to our pets over there.

I’ve read that they can travel about, stay with your soul family, or even live in an area with similar species and be cared for by loving humans.

You are truly being strengthened right now via all of these life experiences. You are in my thoughts!

    • http://drmedhus.com Elisa

I hope Penny meets Dante! When she was dying, I told her to look for him as well as Erik, Denise and our other deceased dogs. (Cookie and Zoe)

Elisa, I ANSI sorry about yor puppy. As someone who loves animals and have always had a dog and cat in my life, I fully understand the loss. It is losing a family member. We all know too well how painful that can be. Please be easy on yourself and take care of one another. I know Erik will take care of him, and I’m sure will be happy to see him! I am thinking of you and your family, today and always xox
